Matthew DeLuca wasn't just a psychiatrist, he was someone who studied the mentally unstable people. He visited mental hospitals and prisons trying to figure out why people are insane or crazy as some say. It always fascinated him on how the brain just evolved into something deeper and more difficult.
Today he was visiting one of the most notorious criminals that was locked in New York State Prison. His mind was filled with vicious, sadistic thoughts. Even some of the guards are afraid of him.
His name was Kevin Perez.
Kevin's doing life for multiple reasons. He seems to not care at all but just smile and laugh all the time.
Kinda like the 𝐉𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐫.
"Right this way Matthew. Hey are you sure about this?" A guard asked
"Yes. I've seen way worse than Kevin," Matthew said
"Matt, this guy isn't all sunshine's and rainbows," The guard said
They entered the interrogation room, Matthew sat down in the chair and pulled out his notebook like usual. Soon the other door opened up, and Kevin Perez walked in, shackled and flanked by two towering guards. The chains clinked as he moved, but his demeanor was unnervingly calm. His smile was wide, eyes alight with a mischievous glint that sent a shiver down the spines of even the most hardened officers.
Kevin was dressed in the standard orange jumpsuit, but he wore it like it was a designer suit, the confidence in his stride contradicting the restraints that bound him. He looked around the room, his gaze finally settling on Matthew. For a moment, there was silence, a heavy pause filled with the weight of unspoken thoughts.
"You must be a doctor," Kevin said amusingly
"I am. I'm Matthew," Matt said
"Nice to meet you Matt. "You're a brave man, sitting there with your notebook, thinking you can figure me out,"Kevin said grinning
"I just wanna know what makes you tick," Matthew said leaning on his elbows on the table
"Tick tock. You think I'm some kind of clock or bomb," Kevin laughed
His laugh was filled with something sinister and dark. It echoed off the walls.
"Why? Why do you do it?" Matthew asked
Kevin leaned back into his chair, his smile never leaving. His eyes casted a raw, unfiltered shadow.
"Why not? The world is already a mess. I just gave it a little push. Everyone here is hiding but not me. I took my mask off," Kevin said
"You think this is some kind of a game?" Matthew asked
"Yea but I know all the rules. I make all the rules actually," Kevin said
