Darrian finally dropped his long anticipated album, 2sidesofthestory. The album was going good, and his release party was even better. Everyone showed up to support the young man. This was something that he had been working on for a long time. Ddot didn't want to get emotional but tonight was special for him.
But in the midst of everything was his trusted bodyguard, David. David was only 24 but he knew how to protect people. Ddot was his biggest priority. Every concert, studio session, interview, photoshoot, David was there. Watching and making sure no dared getting in the way.
"Where's David?" Ddot asked Sarah
"Right where he always is. Far behind you," Sarah said
Ddot turned to see David in the back, near the wall. Ddot's heart skipped a beat when he saw David standing near the wall, arms crossed, eyes scanning the room like a hawk. The crowd was buzzing with excitement, celebrating the release of 2sidesofthestory, but Ddot couldn't focus on anything else except David.
"Go. I know you wanna talk to him," Sarah said smirking a little
Ddot made his way over to David. David uncrossed his arms when Ddot approached him.
"David have some fun. I can't have you working," Ddot said
"I have to protect you and make sure that Chris doesn't eat all the fucking cupcakes," David said
"Hey this party is for you too. You helped me so much ," Ddot said leaning against the wall
"What did I do? I just stood in the back," David said nonchalantly
"You were there during the late nights. Hey you even helped me with one of my songs. David just celebrate ," Ddot said getting flustered
He was now holding David's hand. A jolt went through him. Looking in David's dark brown eyes, Ddot couldn't shake this feeling that was growing inside of him.
"I'll get a drink ok," David said
Ddot nodded his head and then turned to leave. He saw his friends and headed over there.
"So Dot, we were gonna go to an Air BNB with some girls later. You coming?" Dudeylo asked
"Lemme see what David-"
"He is not your dad. You are 18 now not 16 anymore," Bloodie said
"I know that but he's my bodyguard. What if something happens? Who's gonna save us or protect us?" Ddot asked
"I get that but this is a party. Only our friends and a few girls. Besides you need some pussy tonight," Bloodie said
"Well when you say that...ok I'll come along," Ddot said
"Cool. We'll leave after the party is over," Dudeylo said
Ddot nodded his head and then mingled with other people. He took pictures with fans and other people at the party. A photographer wanted one of him and David. Ddot hesitated but agreed.
