I stood in front of the mirror and looked at myself through it dressed from head to toe in white with flowers strewn in my braided hair, which was done by Elanor.

My heart pounded hard and fast in my chest while I looked at myself through the mirror, nervous and excited about marrying the man that I had grown to love and becoming queen to the Werewolf kingdom and to serve them by my king's side now and forever until death did us apart.

It had been six months since the day that I had thought I lost him but had instead broken the curse so that he and my pack could be human, and every single day, my mate showed me how much of a gentleman that he could be and to prove that he wasn't a monster.

He was kind, generous, and slowly started to rebuild his kingdom and the packs that were under his care, fixing mistakes that had happened while he was "out of service" for the past six years, cursed to be a man and a beast in one with his wolf in control.

It was one of the reasons why it had taken us six months to "tie the knot" and to present me as his queen to the kingdom and the pack's Alphas that were invited to the wedding, our wedding.

The other reason why it had taken so long was because my mate wanted to show me that he was more than just a "monster," even though I had never thought of him as a monster even during all of the shit he had put me through.

However, he wanted to make sure that I was comfortable with him now that he was a human and could shift between each form as well as shift into the half form that I had seen him in for many months before all of this, much to my amusement and annoyance.

There was a knock on my door, breaking me from my thoughts, and I bit back a small gasp in shock while I turned to look that way because I was not expecting anyone until my father came to collect me before the start of the wedding.

"Belle?" I heard my mate say from the other side of the door. Concern and worry filled his voice while he knocked on the door again when I didn't say a word. "Are you ok? I can feel your anxiety through the bond we now share."

I bit back a small smile and placed my hand on my mark, which was something else that had changed and had him do three months into our relationship. "I am ok, Steven," I said and removed my hand from my mark to grab the hem of my dress, biting back a small sigh. "I am sorry that I caused you to worry." I started to make my way to the door, wanting to be near my mate, even though I knew that I wouldn't be able to see him until it was time for me to walk down the aisle.

"It's ok," he said with a small chuckle in his voice. "I am nervous, too."

"Oh?" I asked and raised an eyebrow in question. I stopped on the other side of the door and placed one hand on the door handle and then another on the door itself. "And why are you nervous?"

"Because I get to marry the most beautiful girl that I have ever seen in a beautiful white dress," he said, and my cheeks turned red. He cleared his throat and shifted on his feet. "Also, I have something to give you. Can I crack open the door and give it to you?"

"But you can't see me, yet," I said and shook my head. "Remember?" I raised an eyebrow in question. "Even the Elders say that you can't."

My mate chuckled and nodded. "I know, Belle," he said with a small hum in his voice. "That is why I want to crack open the door to give it to you. I promise that I will not look at you even if I want to."

My cheeks turned redder, and I couldn't help but bite the inside of my lip while I looked down. "And what do you want to give me?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

"A crown," he said. "It won't be the crown that you will wear as queen, but I want you to wear it and show everyone that you are mine and that you are their queen before we give you the new crown."
