"So, who wants to go first?" Superman asked the assembled Titans and Mark. At first, no one raised their hands, and Superman managed to look a little sheepish. "Well don't everyone answer at once," he said scratching the back of his head. Nightwing stepped up with a laugh and took over.
"Easy there big blue, I can take it from here. Alright team, you know the routine. Get suited up, get warmed up, and let's get training. Since Superman is here on request from the League to observe our guest, I think it's only fair we stay away from the team building stuff. For today, we're going to focus on our own individual progress and testing our abilities and adaptability by going one on one or being outnumbered by more than a few of our own team," Nightwing explained.
The team nodded and all headed towards a separate room to get their gear and get ready. Mark, meanwhile, turned to Supergirl and voiced his own concern about the upcoming fights. "Look, Kara, I'm not sure this is a good idea. I'm not exactly friendly with the two bird boys, and the knockoff Amazon looked ready to knock me out upstairs. Plus, I don't even have a suit! What am I supposed to do, fight in my jeans until im eventually naked?" Mark asked with a touch of sarcasm.
Supergirl just giggled and shook her head. "As much as I'd like to see that, you're right. You fighting naked isn't exactly ideal. Cyborg's tech still runs the whole tower, and between Jaime's added tech and Raven's magic I'm sure you could make something happen while the others start their normal routines. As far as those two go, it'll be fine. They're smart, they won't actively provoke something out of this... especially not with my cousin watching and Batman probably tuned in to every camera we have here," Kara said, slightly grumbling at the end. Mark nodded, and the two of them walked off towards the other end of the training room to where Jaime was standing. His Scarab armor was active, but his face remained uncovered as he greeted Mark and Kara.
(A/N: The Titans will essentially be wearing their outfits and gear from the Young Justice TV show. Any and all alterations will be mentioned by me. Dick and Tim will be in the suits they already appeared in earlier in this story, reference the previous chapters for the pictures.)
However, the minute he raised his hands in a wave, the mask of his suit activated and immediately began talking to him, unbeknownst to the two approaching. ~"There are two high class threat alerts approaching, Jaime Reyes, and a medium level threat standing by. Species recognized: Kryptonian, Viltrumite, Kryptonian. Threat level: severe. Chance of survival: slim. Recommended course of action: reinforcement or retreat,"~ the Scarab spoke in Jaime's mind. Jaime quickly responded, "Scarab, no! Re-classify the Kryptonians as Supergirl and Superman, they are valued friends and teammates. Do not engage. Wait... Viltrumite? You mean Mark? I've never even heard of that before."
The scarab was quick to respond. ~"Viltrumites are an alien race of conquering warriors. They had been a vast empire that came into conflict with many known species, including my creators. The Reach and Viltrum warred, and both sides sustained losses before the Viltrumites were defeated and returned to their home planet. The Reach similarly pulled back from many of their preestablished conquests. Previous record of Viltrumite encounter: Omni-Man thought to be sole Viltrumite survivor. Jaime Reyes, information on this Viltrumite is required,"~ the Scarab said. Jaime tried processing everything he heard, espeically the name of what he figured was a dead hero and a new alien species, but then his mask came down and he was staring face to face with both Kara and Mark.
"Uhh, Jaime? You okay there?" Kara asked concerned. Jaime shook his head quickly to clear his mental confusion, and then said, "Oh hey guys, sorry about that. I'm all good, what's up?"
