Assumptions:
-Abhir and Abhimanyu did not die, they were injured and rescued by Harsh Birla and were taken abroad
The grand hall was adorned with flowers and lights, echoing the joy of a new beginning. Rohit and Ruhi's reception was a grand affair, attended by the elite of society. As Ruhi walked down the staircase, her eyes frequently darted towards Armaan, who was mingling with guests. Armaan's interactions with Abhira were warm and genuine, causing a pang of jealousy to twist in Ruhi's heart.
Abhir and Abhimanyu, who had recently returned to India for the first time after the landslide, received an unexpected invitation to the reception from the Poddars as Madhav and Abhimanyu used to be good friends. Although not eager to attend the reception, they chose to attend it out of respect for Madhav, a police officer who had once helped Abhimanyu greatly, after which they became fast friends. They were currently staying with Kairav and Muskan, Abhir's Mamu and Mami and their daughter.
Kaveri, known for her sharp tongue and traditionalist views, observed the guests with a critical eye. As Abhira entered the hall, poised and graceful, Kaveri's gaze hardened. She couldn't believe that her grandson, who respected her so much, had chosen to marry a random girl, a girl that she did not get along with at all to be precise. A girl who made Kaveri's blood boil.
Kaveri (with a disdainful look): "Who let this girl in? She's the daughter of a woman who forced my grandson to marry her daughter, who does that. What a characterless woman"
Abhira (with a calm yet firm tone): "My mother was a woman of honor and integrity. She did what she had to do to protect those she loved. I won't stand here and let you insult her."
Kaveri (scoffing): "Honor and integrity? She left her own family, she raised you as a single mother and who knows who your father is?"
Abhira (stepping closer): "You don't know the sacrifices my mother made. She raised me all alone. She was independent and she taught me how to be independent. I won't let you tarnish her name."
The hall fell silent as Abhira's words echoed. Abhir and Abhimanyu, standing nearby, heard the confrontation. A sense of familiarity and pride washed over them, recognizing the fire in Abhira's eyes.
The tension in the room was palpable. Abhir and Abhimanyu decided to approach Abhira, the woman who defended her mother so fiercely. As they neared her, the resemblance to Akshara became undeniable.
Abhir: "It was good to see you defend your mother. A mother does everything for her child and to see Mrs Poddar insulting someone's mother was so low and disappointing."
Abhira: "She is an orthodox woman. Stuck up in her ways. The woman she is cursing is the only reason her grandson, my husband Armaan is alive today" (tearing up)
Abhir looks at her keenly and his eyes drop to her pendant. Which seems oddly familiar.
Abhir: "I hope her bad karma slaps back in her face"
Abhira: "I'll make sure I give it back for every single insult she has thrown my way about my mother, by the way I'm Abhira"
Abhir: "I'm Abhir and this is my father Abhimanyu" (Abhimanyu smiles and shakes her hand)
Abhira: "We have such similar names!"
Abhir: "What a coincidence"
Abhira: "I should get going, otherwise this family is going to dish out another insult"
Abhir and Abhimanyu nod at her and Abhira goes towards the Poddars. Abhir is still thinking about the pendent while Abhimanyu laughs because of her uncanny resemblance to his Akshu.
