ch 24

Jack's pov

I finally moved all my stuff in a small apartment.  Not gonna lie it's kinda lonely.  Oh well I'll just call Helen.
*RING RING*

"Hello"-random male voice

"...who is this?
Why do you have Helen's phone?"

"This is her boyfriend Frank.  Who is this?"

"...what is my name in her contacts?  That should explain who I am." I say in a slightly agitated tone.  How could she not tell me she had a bf.  I thought she would be mine.

"It says 'My sea food guy' with a '🦐' emoji.  So once again who are you?"

"..." you know what.  If I gotta lose my ex then she gets to lose hers.  "I'm the guy she's cheating on you with."

"What the hell do you mean 'cheating on me' with!"

"I mean I slept with your girlfriend.  Don't get me wrong I didn't know Helen had a bf, but now that I do know I'd thought I'd tell you."

"This has got to be a sick jock.  I can't believe this.  I am so sorry dude.  I'm so breaking up with her and kicking her out."

After that the guy forgot to hang up and I got to hear the crys of a girl getting kicked out and having her things thrown at her.  The guy Frank was cursing her out and you could hear everything that was happening.

I wish I had popcorn for it because it was like hearing a cheating wife get what she deserved.  It was satisfying.

After all that happened she picked up the phone and noticed and was still on call.  "YOU BASTERED!!!  DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH YOU'VE RUINED MY LIFE YOU PRICK!!!"

"It's not my fault you cheated with me and got caught.  Should've done better with hiding your things."

"Oh yeah is the same thing your ex told you after she found out about us!"

I hung up once she said that.  'Well shit looks like I'll need a new girl.  Welp time to take a shower so I can smell good.  Hm maybe I'll gambel a bit while I'm out'

I get dressed and put on some colon and head to the casino.  'Eh might as well invite some friends.'  I call Paul to see if you wants to go with me.  He says he's busy so I go for Ryan instead.  He agrees and we head there.

"Yo, what should I bet on?" Ryan whispers to me.  "I don't know, but I'm betting all my money on Black." "Alright then I'll go for red."

"No more bets people, no more bets." The dealer say.  We wait patiently figures crossed hoping one of us had won.  It after a few seconds it landed on...

"Red 23"

"YA HOOO!!!!  YES I WON!!"

My friend shouted out and excitement.  I just stare at the wheel.  I feel jealous.  I was hoping I would've won so I can rub it in Ryan's face.

"Alright everyone take your bets please."

"Hey, wanna go again?"  I say still wanting to show off with a little competition.  "Yeah sure,  I would love to get some more cash." My friend says with a smirk on his face.  I smirk back and I bet on red 15 this time.

Ryan bets all of his money on black 20.  I hold back a laugh knowing he'd lose all his money by doing that.

"Alright people no more bets please, no more bets."

We watch as he drops the marble and the wheel role.  I watch it intently waiting for it to stop on my number.  I feel my smile grow bigger as it slows down near my number.

But my smile quickly turns into a frown when it lands on the number 20.

"..."

"WHOOOO I AM ON A ROLL TODAY!!  Wanna go again?"

I look at him with annoyance and agree.

"Alright people take your bets."

I bet on black 26 this time.  Ryan bets on red 25.  I look at him then look back at the wheel.

"Alright people no more bets."

The dealer drop the ball and we watch.  It goes round and round.  I start to sweat as I watch it pass my number multiple times.  My stomach turns as it finally land on...

"Red 25."

"At this point I'm gonna be a Billionaire!"

I glare at the disc "Hold on I don't want to quit until I win a game!" "Alright if you say so." Ryan says as we keep playing.

We played over and over each time with me taking a drink, and each time with him winning as I lost.  We played until I finally ran out of money.  "Yo dude you have nothing left to bet.  We should head home." "NO NOT UNTIL I WIN!" "OKAY THAT'S ENOUGH DUDE COME ON YOU'RE WAY TO DRUNK FOR THIS!!!"

Ryan drags me out of the casino and to a park.  "Come on dude take a deep breath.  Here I'll give you some of my money so you won't be dead broke."  He says taking out his wallet.  Pulling out his card and heads to a machine to get the money.

"Hold on I'll be right back."  When he goes I sit on a bench near by.  In the corner of my eye was a sharp rock.  Sharp enough to brake through skin...

Then next thing I new I had blood on my hands.  My friend dead.  I was surprisingly calm.  I dragged his body the lake infront of the bench and dump him in there.  I got some cleaning supplies and cleaned the blood with them and a hose near by.

After wards I got in my car and drove somewhere.  I don't know where but it felt familiar.  I climbed through a window and see a man sleeping peacefully in his bed.  Soon he was sleeping peacefully on the flour.

I left then and went home.  After covering everything up and cleaning myself.  I hopped into my bed and slept peacefully.
