VALERIA PARKED HER CAR AND looked at Daniel. "You ready?". He nodded. "Yeah" he said. Valeria smiled at him as they got out the car. Walking to the sand, she immediately saw her three friends. Ali, Barbara and Susan.

"Hey girls!" The three girls looked over at Valeria and greeted her. "This is my best friend Daniel! He just moved here today from New Jersey. Daniel, meet Ali, Barbara and Susan!".

"Hey" he smiled and waved. He then immediately locked eyes with Ali. Valeria felt awkward as her best friend was basically having a staring contest with her friend.

"Hi Daniel!" Ali smiled at him. "Valeria! Daniel!" They looked over and saw Freddy running over to them. "I'm glad you guys made it!"

"I told you we would" Valeria laughed. "Hey Daniel, wanna play soccer with me and my friends. We just need one more person"

"Uh yeah man" Daniel and Freddy walked away and Valeria sat down with the girls. "You never told us about him Val. How come?" Susan asked.

Valeria shrugged. "Don't know. I guess it never crossed my mind to do so"

"He's kinda cute.." Ali said.

The girls engaged into their own conversation as the boys were playing soccer. Susan, Ali, Valeria and Barbara all sat on top of a blanket in their bathing suits while listening to music from Ali's radio.

The boys ran over trying to get the ball and Daniel had locked eyes with Ali once again. Valeria looked up from her magazine and smiled at the two. They definitely found each other attractive.

"Valeria come on!" Susan said as she grabbed her hand and the two girls and Barbara ran to the water. Ali came a few minutes later.

"Daniel caught your eye Ali?" Valeria asked. Ali looked at her as she smiled and shrugged. "Maybe" she giggled.

Valeria smiled. "Seems like someone might have a crush!" Valeria said as she splashed Ali with the water, so did Ali. Then all the other girls joined in.

The sun had started to go down. Everyone was out of their bathing suits and swimming trunks and back in some warm comfortable clothes. Every one now sat in the sand, talking, eating and what not.

The soccer ball got kicked out of no where and hit Ali's radio, knocking it down. Ali grabbed the ball and walked over to Daniel. "It seems like Ali has a crush on your friend, Val" Barbara said as the girls roasted marshmallows.

"Yep. Seems like it"

"Eh no offense Val but Daniel is not that much to look at or be attracted to" Susan said. "Now you know that's not true. Daniel's pretty good looking". Susan shrugged. "I think I've seen better".

Valeria rolled her eyes. The sound of bikes came closer to the beach. Uh oh. It was the Cobra Kai's. Johnny Lawrence and his little gang. Dutch, Jimmy, Bobby and Tommy.

Hopefully they don't cause a disturbance. Cause they are a bit of trouble makers. Especially Johnny. "Oh god. Look who's here..."

As Susan said that, all the boys came down to the beach with their bikes, stopping right by where the girls were at.

Ali walked over to Valeria and Johnny came up to them. "Ali, I want to talk to you"

"Leave me alone. We've been over all this alright. I don't want to talk".

"Well I want to talk to you all right" Johnny said as he turned off Ali's radio. Valeria rolled her eyes. Never knows when to quit. She thought. She saw Johnny looking her up and down. Like as if he just read her mind or something.

Ali pressed a button, turning her radio back on and Johnny turned it back off. "What is your problem?". "Why don't you just take your little Cobra Kai's and get out of here".

She grabbed her radio and stood up. Johnny doing the same. "Oh yeah right like that's going to solve anything" he said as he snatched her radio out of her hand. "Give me my radio".

He took a step back and put the radio behind him. "I said give me my radio!".

"You promise you'll talk to me?"

"Yes now give me my radio" Ali snatched her radio back and turned it back on. Johnny then also snatched the radio and threw it on the ground.

"You just broke my radio!" Ali pushed him. "Yeah" Johnny said with pride. "Don't touch it punk!" Johnny yelled at Daniel. He didn't listen and still proceeded to pick it up.

Johnny snatched the radio out of his hand. Valeria got up and walked over to Johnny. "Just leave him alone Johnny, he's not doing anything wrong"

Johnny looked her up and down and smirked at her. Johnny handed the radio to Daniel and pushed him to the sand at the same time. He then pushed Ali into Valeria as Daniel got up, about to throw a punch.

Johnny dodged his attack and Daniel fell to the sand again. "What's your problem Johnny!" Valeria pushed Johnny. He got in her face, "stay out of this!" He yelled and pushed Valeria into Tommy as Tommy held her arms so she couldn't escape.

Now her and Ali were stuck from doing anything because of these two idiots, Tommy and Dutch. Daniel ran over to Johnny as Johnny tripped him, and once again, he fell.

Johnny kicked him in the stomach and Valeria tried getting out of Tommy's grip but that only made him hold her arms tighter as she struggled to get away.

"You started this. I just wanted to talk" he then turned to Valeria. "And you need to mind your business Val"

"You're an ass Johnny!" He smirked at Valeria and walked back over to Daniel. "How about you hero? Had enough?". Daniel quickly got up and punched Johnny in the face.

"Now we're even man. No mercy.." Johnny kicked and punched Daniel until he fell. "Get on your bikes guys" Tommy let go of Valeria and she walked over to Johnny and pushed him with all her strength.

"What is your problem you jerk?! Why can't you just leave people alone" Johnny walked over to Valeria as he towered over her. "And why do you care? That's your boyfriend or something? Huh Val?"

"None of your business. Just leave him alone" Johnny smiled and laughed. He dabbed up Dutch as he walked away. Valeria walked over to Daniel, who was still on the floor, and Ali.

"Daniel" she said with her hand on his back. Ali had walked away with Barbara. "Please leave me alone Val".

"No Daniel, I think we should get you back home" she said as she helped him up. Johnny drove over with his bike, getting sand on the two.

"That jerk. I'm sorry Daniel, I shouldn't have brought you here" she opened the passenger door as Daniel sat inside. She got in her car and they drove off.

She parked in front of the apartments and Daniel quickly got out. "I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school!" She called out. He turned around and gave her a fake smile.

"Hey Val" Johnny said from his driveway. Valeria crossed her arms and leaned on her car, she sighed. "What do you want?"

He made his way over to her and stopped a few inches away from her. "To say sorry". Valeria rolled her eyes. "Bullshit. You're not sorry. You liked it. You had fun".

He scoffed. "I didn't do it for fun. Maybe if he would've stayed out of my business and you.."

"Good night Johnny". He quickly grabbed her arm and she snapped her head at him. "I said good night Johnny. Tomorrow is the first day and I would like to get some sleep".

"You can get some sleep right after you listen to me"

"Johnny. Let go of me. I'm tired and I'm done with you and your cocky attitude. It's already bad enough that we go to the same school and we're neighbors". She pulled her arm away and walked to her front door.

"You say that like you don't like me" Valeria looked at Johnny to see a smirk on his face as he laughed to himself. She flipped him off and went inside her house. Bad enough that they went to the same school, were neighbors, and their rooms are both in the back of the house, facing each other.
