IT WAS SUNDAY AND VALERIA WAS going to go to the mall with her mom and sister. Once she finished getting ready, she sat at her desk and grabbed her concealer and her beauty blender. She put some concealer over the hickey that Johnny had gave her last night. She took a few minutes of putting concealer on her neck and blending it into her skin.
She could not have her mom know about her hickey. If she did, Valeria would immediately get interrogated by her. She left her room about to go downstairs. "Hey Val. I'll be ready in a few minutes. You can go ahead and start my car". Valeria nodded as she went downstairs and grabbed her mom's car keys.
She went outside and looked to her right over at Johnny's driveway. His car still outside but his bike was gone. She didn't know whether if she wanted to talk to him or avoid him. Or be mad at him about the hickey. Well she kinda was mad about the hickey.

At the mall, she walked past stores with Vickie. "Valeria, can we get some ice cream please?" She tugged on her older sister's arm. "Yeah sure!". The girls kept on walking until they found the ice cream shop in the mall. They waited in line behind two people. Those two people ordered their ice cream and left. It was then Valeria and Vickie's turn to order.
"What do you want Vickie?" Vickie tip toed and put her arms over the counter. "Can I have a Vanilla ice cream with lots of sprinkles please!". "Sure thing!" The worker said as she got Vickie's ice cream, with lots of sprinkles as she requested.
"Thank you so much!" Valeria said after she paid for her sister's ice cream. Before the two could walk away from the store, Johnny had walked up them. God, why was he everywhere that Valeria was.
"Hey Val. Vickie!"
"Hi Johnny!!" Vickie said waving and he smiles at the little girl. He looked up at Valeria and then at her neck with a covered up hickey. "Why'd you hide it huh? You look hot with it" he moved some hair away from her neck.
"Can we not talk about this right now. I'm with my sister" he laughed. "Y'know if you're just going to hide them then I guess I'll have to give you more" he whispered in her ear. Valeria felt butterflies in her stomach. She was flustered by his comment but she wasn't going to show it. "Then I guess I'll just have to keep on buying more concealer".
"Hey Johnny!". Valeria's mom said as she walked up to the teenagers. And her 7 year old daughter... "Hi Mrs. Vaughn!". "What a surprise to see you here. Haven't seen you in a while". She said. "Well I've been around". Johnny looked Valeria in her eyes and smiled at her.
"Y'know if you guys want to hang out you're free to do so. I'll stay here with Vickie" she told her daughter. "Um no mom it's f-
"That would be great Mrs. V" he said with a smile, still making eye contact with Valeria. "Alright. You two go ahead then. Have fun!". She waved at the kids as she walked away with Vickie. "Thanks a lot Johnny. Now it looks like I'm stuck with you".
"Well consider this our second date". They began walking. "So what are you doing here at the mall?" Valeria asked. "Well I was supposed to meet up with Tommy but I think I rather spend my time with you".
"Flattered..!". They walked in silence as Valeria was lost in her thoughts. "You can't stop thinking about last night huh?". "Maybe..." she said awkwardly. He laughed. "I told you, you like me!".
"Yeah right". She rolled her eyes. "Well if you didn't then you wouldn't be thinking about last night in the car". Fuck you Johnny. Why'd he have to read her like a god damn book.
Valeria quickly tried changing the subject. "Well since this is our second date I guess. What are we going to do??". Johnny shrugged. "Well since we're here at the mall, how about we do a little bit of shopping".
