Joelle sat next to her theatre teacher in the audience as the rest of the actors prepared the set.

"We've talked about this before, Joelle. You're doing this for extra credits, right?" the teacher asked. Joelle nodded. "What an shame. I thought you were such a good actress."

"Thank you," Joelle said politely. "Well, get ready for the performance, I think the rest are almost ready," the teacher said as he looked at the rest of the students. Joelle nodded and walked backstage.

"Here's your dress," said a blonde boy as he handed the dress to Joelle. "Thank you," Joelle said with a smile. The boy smiled back and walked towards his group of friends.

Joelle walked to a changing room and changed into the terribly ugly red dress. Joelle looked disgusted at it, but she would do anything for extra credits.

Joelle stared at the scar on her stomach from the night Billy and Stu had killed almost everyone. To this day, Joelle cannot forgive Sidney for just pushing Stu towards Joelle.

"Joelle? Are you ready?" the same boy asked as he pulled her out of her thoughts. "Yeah, I'm coming," Joelle said startled. The boy walked away and Joelle took one last look in the mirror.

Joelle crouched down in front of the rest of the actors, looking incredibly stupid in her opinion. "Action!" the teacher shouted.

The other actors started and then it was time for Joelle to say her line and then at the same time as the other actors.

Joelle was spun around by the actors and she was pointed at by the 'sun'.

Joelle tripped on stage and fell. Her eyes widened in horror as she suddenly saw the ghostface mask. Joelle ran anxiously across the stage among the others as she tried to escape ghostface.

Joelle saw the familiar sharp knife in his hands as he ran just past her. Joelle tried to gasp for breath as she ran back and forth on stage.

Joelle screamed as suddenly ghostface stood in front of her. In response, she punched him in the face.

Everyone gasped as the blonde boy removed his mask with a groan. Everyone looked distraught at Joelle.

"I'm sorry," Joelle said as she walked towards the boy. The boy shook his head and walked off the stage. "Hold it!" the teacher shouted. Joelle looked at the ground, embarrassed, before walking off the stage.

Joelle angrily threw her Greek crown to the ground and sat on a wooden stool with her head in her hands.

"You hit him pretty hard, Rhodes," Mickey said as he sat down next to her. "Yeah, which wasn't meant to happen," Joelle sighed as she looked up. "I know that," Mickey reassured her. "What happened there?"

"I'm seeing ghosts," Joelle muttered as she leaned her head against the wall. "You mean ghostface?" asked Mickey. "Yeah, everywhere I go. I can't get rid of him," Joelle said with a shaky voice.

"You will, Joel. Or he will get rid of you," he joked. Joelle looked at him with an irritated expression. "Sorry."

"It's okay. I actually needed a joke," Joelle said with a faint smile. "I knew you could still take a joke," Mickey said with a smile as he gave her a little nudge.

"Are you still continuing with theatre?" he asked curiously. "No way, not my thing," Joelle snorted as she shook her head. "You looked very enthusiastic too," Mickey joked. "Definitely with a big smile," Joelle joined in the joke. "Yeah, a smile so big as a kid with an ice cream," the brunette boy said.

The two laughed.

Joelle noticed that Mickey made her think of Billy a lot. He was also so sweet and caring to her. She missed the old Billy without his mommy issues.

"You know, you remind me of my old best friend. Billy," Joelle said out of the blue. "Billy? You mean Billy Loomis?" asked Mickey as he raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, he was so sweet for me too," Joelle said as she looked at him. "But he was a killer."

"Who says I'm not a killer?" asked Mickey bluntly. "What?" asked Joelle with a chuckle. "Who says I'm not the killer?" asked Mickey as the look in his eyes changed. "I-," Joelle stuttered nervously.

"I was only joking, Rhodes. I could never do anything like that to you," he said quickly with a wink. Joelle laughed nervously, but her heart was still beating like crazy in her chest.

"I have to go, I have class soon. Catch you later, Joelle," he said as he stood up. Joelle said goodbye to him, but remained seated. Her mind was racing like crazy.

Mickey sounded so serious, but Mickey was her best friend. He would never do that, would he?

But Billy and Stu were the killers last year too, and they were also her best friends.

Joelle shook her head as she tried to put the thoughts aside. She stood up and walked to the locker room. There she ran into Wes Carpenter, the boy she had punched. She was also in Woodsboro high with him last year.

"Wes, I'm so sorry," Joelle apologized. "It's okay, Joel. I understand after all the shit you went through last year," Wes said as he leaned against the wall. "You're pretty strong."

"I have to when there's a serial killer after me," Joelle said with a chuckle. "I see. Stay safe," he said as he leaned away from the wall. "Don't get killed, Carpenter!" Joelle yelled after him. Joelle could have slapped herself, but Wes smiled and shook his head.

Joelle had changed clothes and was back in her dorm when the phone suddenly rang. She raised an eyebrow as she answered.

"Hello?" asked Joelle as her heart pounded hard in her chest. "Hey, Joel," sounded her father's familiar voice. "Dad!" said Joelle happily and relieved that it wasn't ghostface. "How's college?" asked Jonas to his daughter.

Joelle's breath lingered in her throat. Hadn't he seen the news? That there was another madman running around out on her life?

"Fine, I'm doing good in college," Joelle replied as she sat down on her bed. "And what about your safety? No more psychos?" her father asked curiously. "Nope, everything is safe and clear," Joelle lied as she looked out the window.

"Joelle! Come on out, we have a plan!" shouted Randy as he pounded on the door with his fist. "I have to go, Dad. Randy needs me," Joelle said as she opened the door for the Meeks boy. Randy frowned, but Joelle looked at him with a warning look.

"Oh, have fun, Joel. Love you," he said emotionally. "Love you, too, Dad," Joelle said as tears welled up in her eyes. She hung up with a sigh.

This might have been the last phone call with her father if the killer isn't caught soon.
