Hi guys, I'm not sure how long it's been, but I'm back. Didn't realize that writing the first season of this shitty fanfic would burn me out so much that I'm terrified of even attempting to make the second...
But that's not what I'm going to be talking about. Pretty sure everyone knows about the Natlan controversy. I realize now how screwed I've made myself by getting so addicted to the game. I've excused the Sumeru controversy, the obvious favoritism toward Chinese players, and the absolute mess of a fandom. It's got every flavor of person. I mean, I've seen a person say on Hoyolab that fictional or not, women should not be sexualized in whatever they wear. While I can agree with some parts of that, this whole game is to bait degenerates. That was the whole point of the company. Ffs, have you ever seen HI3!? Not to mention the heterophobes on Twitter and the homophobes on Hoyolab.
After Natlan came out, I was disappointed, but not surprised. What surprised me more was the animosity towards more dark-skinned people, like me, on Bilibili. I decided to look on there to see how Chinese people felt about it. I knew China had a colorism problem, but I never realized it was so bad. Hoyoverse may be very supportive of people of color, I know, but the fact they are pandering to such a bad group of people leaves a bad taste in my throat. Guess that's Hoyoverse.
So, since I've taken off the rose-tinted glasses, I've decided to cut my ties with the entire company. I'm quitting Genshin, HSR, and ZZZ (I quit HI3 a long time ago). I've also decided to quit the fanfiction (May delete it based on responses here). So... Should I delete this entire thing? Should I keep it up and say no more updates will be added and it's unfinished?
I also would find it helpful if people could recommend less controversial games (hopefully with a more connected fandom). They can be gacha games, horror games, or any other sorts of games. I will look into every suggestion.
Since I feel pretty guilty about leaving you guys on a cliffhanger, you all can have some unfinished art of mine (colors look weird because I put some overlay layers on it so it can't be stolen by AI. I'm not sure how it's supposed to work but using them regardless).
