Mrs. Kim was in the kitchen, cutting vegetables. She saw her son coming in, "Taehyung, how was your day?" But Taehyung's mind was a million miles away, trapped in the memory of the kiss that had sent his heart racing and his world spinning. He didn't hear her, lost in the tumult of emotions that had taken hold of him since that fateful moment.

"Oppa, eomma asked you something," His younger sister Ara said. But still no response. Mrs. Kim stepped out of the kitchen, She placed a gentle hand on Taehyung's arm. "Is everything okay?" she asked, her voice filled with care.

Startled, Taehyung locked his eyes with hers. "I'm... I'm fine," he murmured. "I'm going to my room" With a furrowed brow Mrs. Kim watched him go, His evasiveness was unlike him.

Taehyung flopped on his bed, his mind swirling with thoughts of the events that had transpired earlier that day. The sight of Jimin's blood staining his wrist made Taehyung's heart sting. He should have asked if he was okay, but he was shocked at that moment. He didn't even have his number to reach out to him.

As he replayed the moment when Jimin had bravely stood up for him in front of Jong-in and slapped him, a warm feeling spread through Taehyung's chest. It wasn't just gratitude he felt for Jimin's actions, there was something more. Something that made his heart race and his cheeks turn red. The kiss that Jimin had planted on his lips lingered in his mind.

But Taehyung knew the reality of his situation. His father would never approve of his relationship with another male. For all his life, Taehyung had been the perfect son, following his father's expectations without question. But the kiss had awakened something inside him, a desire to break free from the expectations.

He couldn't deny the attraction he felt towards Jimin. It was a feeling that he hadn't experienced before. Taehyung knew that taking a chance on a relationship with Jimin would mean risking everything. But the thought of not exploring this newfound connection with Jimin filled him with a sense of regret he couldn't shake.

He made a decision. He would find a way to reach out to Jimin, to make sure he was okay after what had happened. Even if it meant going against his father's wishes, Taehyung was willing to take that chance. The kiss had opened a door to a new world, one where he could be true to himself and his heart.

Taehyung was searching for Jimin everywhere on campus. He checked the classrooms, the cafeteria, the library, and even the gym, but Jimin was nowhere to be found. Jimin hadn't approached him today like he did from past few days.

After his fruitless searching, Taehyung finally gave up. He had a class to attend, and he couldn't afford to be late. But as he sat in the lecture hall, trying to concentrate on the professor's words, his mind kept drifting back to Jimin.

During the lunch break, the hallways were a river of students, all rushing to their various destinations. Taehyung's eyes darted from face to face, searching for the one who was on his mind. Finally, he spotted a familiar figure walking towards him - Park Jimin.

Jimin's eyes remained fixed ahead, his gaze seemingly oblivious to the world around him. Taehyung's heart raced as the distance between them was getting less. He took a deep breath, steeling himself to finally confront the person he'd been searching for. Jimin didn't notice him, or that's what he thought. He was disappointed but just as they were about to pass each other by, their hands brushed against one another, and Taehyung felt something being pushed into his palm. He glanced down, his eyes widening in surprise as he saw a folded piece of paper.

Jimin didn't miss a beat in his stride, continuing on as if nothing had happened. Taehyung's gaze followed him, his eyes locking onto Jimin's retreating form for a brief moment. Then, Jimin did something unexpected - he turned his head and winked. It was so subtle that Taehyung wondered if he'd imagined it. The crowd of students swallowed Jimin up, leaving Taehyung standing in the hallway, paper in hand.

Taehyung made his way into the nearest empty classroom, the door clicking shut behind him. He unfolded the paper, his eyes scanning the neatly scribbled words.

I don't want to cause you anymore trouble here, please meet me at the cafe down the street after the class.

- The love of your life ♡

Taehyung was amused that Jimin had referred himself as the love of his life, especially since he had yet to respond to Jimin's confession. A smile made it's way on his lips. Pocketing the note, Taehyung headed towards the exit. He couldn't help but feel excitement, he couldn't wait to meet Jimin.

In the corner of a city street, a quaint little cafe stood out like a quiet secret. Its red brick exterior was a contrast to the steel and glass of the skyscrapers looming above. Above the door, a softly glowing sign read "Café Fleur," the letters in a charmingly old-fashioned script.

Taehyung sat at a table by the window, his heart pounding in his chest. He had been waiting for what felt like hours, though his phone insisted it had only been twelve minutes. He had chosen this spot carefully; it was far enough so that they wouldn't be recognized, yet cozy enough to ease the tension of what was to come. The small bouquet of red roses lay on the table before him, looking vibrant.

As the door chimed open, he spotted Jimin coming in, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Taehyung. Taehyung felt like the smile that lit up Jimin's face was worth every moment of the anxiety-ridden wait. Taehyung took a deep breath, stood up, and held the bouquet out as Jimin approached. The warmth of Jimin's hand brushed against his as he took the roses, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Is this bouquet the answer to my confession?" Jimin asked, tilting his head to the side in a way that made his cheekbones stand out, a gesture that Taehyung found utterly endearing.

"Yes, it is," Taehyung replied, his voice soft. "I like you, and I want to give us a chance."

Jimin's smile grew as he took the roses, bringing them to his nose to inhale their sweet scent. "Thank you," he murmured, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's. "I assure you, you won't regret it."

They sat down across from each other, the small table acting as a bridge over the ocean of unspoken words. Jimin carefully placed the bouquet, as if it was a treasure. The cafe's ambiance was a soothing balm to Taehyung's nerves, the soft music playing in the background a gentle reminder that this was real, this was happening.

Taehyung asked Jimin about his wrist, the latter said he's okay and he shouldn't worry about it. They ordered their food and began asking each other questions. They talked their favorite things, hobbies and even shared some embarrassing stories from their childhood. It didn't take long for them to hit it off, and They exchanged phone numbers.

Taehyung told that his father wouldn't approve of them dating, so they decided to keep their relationship a secret for now. They agreed to meet up at the cafe or somewhere else outside of university to avoid any potential trouble.

As they finished their meal, Jimin got up and gave Taehyung a quick peck on the lips. They both blushed and smiled, wanting more but knowing that the cafe wasn't the place for it. They said goodbye and parted ways, both feeling incredibly happy but for different reasons. Little did Taehyung know, this cute first date was the beginning of the twisted game of love and it was going to turn his life upside down.
