Jisoo stepped out of the shower, feeling the coolness of the tiles on her bare feet as the warm water dripped from her hair onto her shoulders. She wrapped herself in a plush towel and walked into her bedroom, the morning light peeking through the half-closed blinds. Her eyes fell on the framed photo of her and Kai, smiling widely with their son Hajoon, taken during their last family vacation. The sight brought a warm smile to her face as she got dressed.
Jisoo's eyes sparkled as she looked at her reflection in the mirror, her long black hair cascading down her back. She adjusted her light pink dress, a gentle smile playing on her lips. Her heart was filled with excitement. Her husband, Kai, had agreed to let Jimin's family stay with them. Their house, once a sanctuary for just the three of them, was now about to become a bustling place filled with laughter and warmth.
She descended the stairs and Jisoo stood in the kitchen, her eyes scanning the neatly arranged rows of dishes, before she started making pancakes. The sun's rays peeked through the window, casting a warm glow over the room. She felt a gentle breeze and knew it was going to be a hot day.
Her son Hajoon was still sleeping, oblivious to the change that was about to unfold. He was a curious little boy, always eager to explore and learn new things. Jisoo wondered how he would react to having her cousins around. She hoped they would all get along. Her heart swelled with anticipation.
She remembered the days when she and Jimin were young, playing in her dad's house. They were inseparable back then. Even during the college years, they were really close and Jimin lived with her family. But life had a way of taking people on different paths. Jimin had moved to Seoul after a tragedy, leaving behind their quiet town. Now, the walls of her house were about to be filled with the energy and life she had missed.
The sound of a car pulling into the driveway snapped her out of her thoughts. She quickly wiped her hands on a hand towel and walked out to the door, Kai also came down at the same time. As she opened the door, she saw Jimin, He looked tired, as if he had been carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Despite his weariness, a small smile graced his lips when he saw her. Behind him, Mr. Park and Yeonjun unloaded the car, their faces a mix of relief and anxiety.
Jisoo rushed forward, her arms wrapped around Jimin, who hugged her back. "Welcome" she said, as she broke the hug. "Hello Jimin" Kai greeted and Jimin greeted him back. "I've made sure there's plenty of space for all of you. You can take your time to settle in." Jisoo said as they all entered the living room.
The Park family looked around the house. Jisoo observed everyone and realized they, especially Jimin wasn't like his old self who was cheerful, he was quiet. It was clear that the escape from Taehyung's oppressive grip was a much-needed respite. Mr. Park thanked Jisoo and Kai for their hospitality.
"Jisoo, I hope this isn't too much for you and Kai," her uncle said, his voice filled with concern. "It's okay, Uncle. We have extra rooms, and we're happy to help." She meant every word. Despite the suddenness of it all, she felt a warmth spread through her chest.
"Come, let's show you guys to your rooms" Jisoo said. She led them upstairs, showing them the guest rooms she had prepared. Kai retreated back to their bedroom to get ready for work, while Jimin stayed in the living room. Mr. Park and Yeonjun began to unpack their belongings, chattering about where to put their things.
Jisoo walked into the living room where Jimin sat, his gaze lost in the distance. His eyes, once filled with joy, now held a hint of sadness. He looked up as she approached, "Don't worry, Jimin" she assured him, "we'll figure it out." She sat beside him, her hand resting gently on his shoulder. "I know things are hard, but we're family. We stick together."
Jimin nodded, a weak smile playing on his lips. He knew it's not that easy. The Mafia King Kim Taehyung, His ex-boyfriend, was not someone to be trifled with. But the thought of his family's support brought a glimmer of hope "Thank you, Jisoo" he murmured, "I'm just scared."
Jisoo's filled with determination. "We'll handle it" Her voice was firm, a stark contrast to the warmth of her touch. "Let's talk to Eunwoo. We need to make wedding plans as soon as possible."
Jimin smiled at her, his smile didn't reach his eyes. He wasn't so sure about marrying Eunwoo. They both had crush on each other but that wasn't enough to get married. He always wanted to marry the person he love. As soon as he thought that, taehyung's face came to his mind. He shook his head, I don't love him. He needed an escape from taehyung, and marrying eunwoo was the best option left for him. But his heart wasn't sure.
Jisoo walked to their bedroom, Kai was already dressed for work, his tie slightly askew as he rushed to grab his briefcase. He noticed her concerned expression and paused. "What's on your mind, Jisoo?" he asked, straightening his tie in the mirror.
Jisoo took a deep breath and recounted her conversation with Jimin, Kai's reflection grew tense, his hand pausing mid-air. "V is not someone to be underestimated, you know it's very risky. Letting them stay is okay but helping Jimin to marry Eunwoo is a different level of risk" As everyone else, he was afraid of V too.
"You're right, but we can't let him suffer like this, We're family" said Jisoo, her voice desperate to make her husband agree. Kai sighed, he loves his wife too much to deny anything, "You're right, but we need to be careful" He agreed to arrange the wedding.

"You're all useless," Taehyung spat out, his eyes flaming with rage. His four bodyguards shifted uncomfortably, their gazes darting around the room as if searching for an escape from their Boss's wrath. The office, once a bastion of order and luxury, now looked like a war zone. The once pristine glass table lay in shards on the floor, the vase that had held a bouquet of expensive flowers now a memory scattered in fragments.Yoongi took a step forward, "Tae, we're doing everything we can." He gestured around the room, indicating the chaos. "This isn't helping." Yoongi was not only his Right hand man, he was more like a brother to Taehyung at times like this. He was the only one who could call Taehyung by his name.
Taehyung's fists clenched, his knuckles white. "Everything we can? Everything?" He spat the words out, his anger palpable. "You're not looking hard enough. You know how much I love him, don't you yoongi? "
Yoongi took a deep breath, his eyes never leaving Taehyung's. "I know, We've gone through every lead, every possible location. We've got the best people on this. They'll find him."
Taehyung's eyes snapped to Yoongi, a storm of emotions brewing. "Best people?" he scoffed. "Where are they, then? What are they doing if they can't find Jimin?"
Yoongi leaned in, his voice low and steady. "They're working around the clock, tracking every possible clue. We have informants and hackers on this. We won't rest until we bring him back to you."
"Get out. All of you get out" Taehyung ordered, his eyes blazing with anger. Yoongi sighed, The room quickly emptied, leaving Taehyung standing in the wreckage of his once orderly sanctuary.
He took a deep breath, trying to regain some semblance of control. His eyes fell on the shattered vase, and a memory of Jimin laughing as he bought him flowers when they were dating flooded his mind. The sound of his laughter seemed to echo in his mind, a stark contrast to the current silence in the room.
He slumped on the sofa, leaning back and resting his head on it as he stared at the ceiling.
