Chapter 9

Dinner resumed in the same silence, it was perhaps a little less tense than before.

"Father, I would like to make a request of you."Cale it was addressed to the count who didn't even look at him before responding.

"Do you need money?"

"No, I would like to attend the event in the capital..."

Deruth finally had the courage to look at his son after this strange request.

"Why do you want to do this? » Deruth didn't understand, Cale always hated these meetings and would cause a fuss if he was forced to go. He had found his son too calm lately, maybe he was just waiting for the right opportunity to cause trouble.

"It's been a long time since I left the county, I would like to do it now and this meeting would be the right opportunity to do so."

Deruth didn't believe Cale at all, he was probably planning other things.

"Basen has already been announced as representative we cannot change that."

Everyone in the room knew this was false, the king had requested the presence of every heir of the noble families of Roan but the Henituse family has no official heir. Young master Cale was sidelined in favor of young master Basen but this remains simply gossip, nothing has been said officially by the count. No response was sent when the mail was received about the party...

"Maybe they could go together, I don't think that would be a problem." Violan strangely helped Cale in his approach.

The count seemed reluctant, but if Basen was there maybe Cale would behave normally so as not to ridicule his brother.

"Are you okay Basen?" Deruth asked Basen's opinion, taking care of Cale was really difficult at times.

" Of course !" To his great astonishment, Basen seemed enthusiastic at this, even a small smile crept onto his wife's face.

Well for once Deruth and Cale had the same thoughts, there was something strange here.

Once the departure was finally over, Cale returned to his room now that he had permission from the Count to leave. He had to organize a plan to save the people of the place. He can think about it during the trip, he had to leave in 2 days. He was going to take advantage of his time to do nothing, he didn't know why but he felt that the trip was going to be tiring.

Two days later everyone was ready to leave, Basen and Cale greeted their parents before getting into the carriage together. There were of course knights with them in addition to butlers, Ron, Beacrox in addition to Choi han.

They quickly crossed the town from the county. Cale looked at the landscape outside, the trip for the moment was rather quiet apart from the bandits who were quickly killed by Choi han.

Well now there should be no more obstacles, almost, Cale could finally think about what comes next, that is to say the situation of the black dragon.

He is frozen, his power is about to manifest. Unfortunately, he was with Basen and he himself didn't know if his brother was going to be caught up in it or not. This has already happened with Ron, Beacrox and Choi Han but it was part of their history. Or almost Choi han had nothing to do with the Molan's past... so he had no way of knowing it. He finally let go of his thoughts and just hope.

I'm definitely going to do the whole chronology from afar, changing a lot of things, just Deruth being a bad father is going to stay for a long, long, long time. Another aspect of power and then I promise I'll stop adding things...
