21.Connection To One Another

Mia was in front of the door to the room that she would be seeing a certain someone after a while. She was just standing there, feeling a bit nervous into seeing her again. It was weird being there because she was the one that wanted to come so they could discuss something that has been bothering her.

When she had called her earlier, the way she had answered, in her voice she wasn't surprised to have seen her calling her. She had a feeling that she was waiting for Mia to call her which confused her even more. It was even another question to add up to her head. She was having enough of it, really. She had to much on her plate to handle and to figure out. Something was off about her therapist. The tone of her voice was different but suspicious different.

While she was thinking about earlier, on the phone, the door in front of her had swung open with none other than her. Once it was completely open, her therapist had her breath caught in her throat. She knew that she would be here, she told herself that she would control herself from not being shocked into seeing her yet, something about Mia had changed and it made her happy in some sort.

She was seeing a different version of Mia and it was making her eyes softened. Knowing that Wonwoo had come into her life, it truly made Mia's appearance and presence in the room different, compared to the other times she's been with her. However, going back to the conversation of her and Wonwoo fighting earlier, made her ask questions of what Wonwoo was feeling towards Mia, would either scare Mia or rather reassure her.

She knows that Mia has been alone for too long and all she wanted was to see Mia happy but knowing the attraction of Wonwoo that he has for Mia, was making her nervous. What if Mia doesn't feel the same and it scares her off? Just by one look at Mia, she could see that she was healing from the pain and she didn't want something to hurt her once more.

Mia had a special place in her heart, knowing of what she had gone through and the last thing she wants Mia to have, is getting hurt. But, maybe it was time for her to go and let Mia take her decision on her own. Perhaps, it wouldn't be a disaster. Perhaps, it would be better actually. She just wasn't sure since she's been the only person who has stayed by Mia's side and it was her job to make her feel better, feel safe, comfortable and also not lost.

Despite the fact that they haven't seen each other in a while, seeing her in front of her, was like she was seeing her kid coming back from a long school trip, or either coming back because someone broke her heart. Mia had a huge impact on her for the last 5 years and everything that Mia does, is something she wants to make sure is okay for Mia to have in her life.

Yet, Mia wasn't hers to take care of.

That was something she had to accept but how could she reminder her of someone she loved deeply? It was a painful truth to accept and it killed her to know for sure that one day, Mia would be extremely gone from her life and never hearing her again.

Into which she thought would happen ever since Wonwoo appeared in her life. No communication between them two for a while and it was weird. But, what was weirder, is that Mia had called her for wanting to talk. She was shocked by her sudden request which made her ask herself questions into why after 5 years,now she wanted to talk?

But how could she say no? Mia was a part of her life and she couldn't let it go. Not too soon and also because she wasn't ready to face a new chapter without her.

A smile had crept up to her face and she let out a small laughing of joy, to let her know that she was happy to see her. Her eyes were gleeful and they were shining with happiness. "Nice to see you Mia"

On the other side, Mia just looked at her with nothing but uncertainty, wondering if this was the right decision, meeting up with her. Yet, after a big sigh, she answered her back. "Hi"
