"She remembers"

Wonwoo had bluntly said which made his mom go silent. He waited for an answer on the other line but instead he got nothing.

He waited for a few seconds until he decided to speak up "Mom?" He asked worried and concerned into why she fell silent. He knows that the news was shocking but he was waiting for her to yell at him or something but it was different.

"What happened?" His mother asked above a whisper and he sighed deeply. He didn't know how to start but he had to start somewhere.

He walked up to the living room and sat down on the couch despite being wet while putting his head down. He had put the phone on speaker and threw his phone on the table saying "She asked me if her name was Riley and... old memories came up"

Wonwoo said roughly and disappointed. His mother had gasped a bit and asked quickly "What did you tell her? Did you do something to her? Where is she right now?"

The voice of his mother filled with worry, only made his heart crush even more. Knowing what happened between him and Mia, only made it worse for him to believe that this day was real.

His was scared and he was regretting of letting himself get his anger get the best of him which led him to this. "I told her everything she needed to know. I lashed my anger on her and so did she. Before she left the house, she pushed me in the pool and thought I would die knowing that I can't swim, she took advantage of it. I don't where she is and I need your help mom to find her"

Wonwoo said quick and full of regret in his voice. Seeing the pain in Mia's eyes when she remembered every single detail in what brought her here made it hard for him to breathe and to acknowledge. He swallowed hard and his throat was on fire.

"I told you this would happen Wonwoo but what did you tell me? You told me it's a risk you are willing to take—tell me, did it pay off?" Her voice became hard and frustration was heard which made Wonwoo remember the conversation they had that day.

It wasn't a lie that the words she spilled out were not true. He did say that he would risk it and face the consequences but, something deep in his gut told him that he shouldn't have—which he ignored badly.

"Wonwoo, answer me" He knew that his mother started to become impatient and it was audible in her voice. He exhaled in irritation and he responded to her question harshly "No it did not mom! You were right! I shouldn't have taken that risk but you know what? I couldn't care less because why? Riley or Mia, she is the love of my life and I realised that too late!"

His voice started to burn and it was hard for him to say those words but he had to get it off his chest. "Yeah I know. You might think I'm crazy for falling in love with the murder of my sister but I was way before all of that happened, I just didn't know. I can't lose of her. I can't lose someone who means a lot to me, Mom. Not again. Now could you please help me find the love of my life before she attempts doing something else once more."

His mother had went silent and had listened to every word that he had let out. Wonwoo was breathing heavily as he let out his feelings for her unravel and it was somewhat nice.

He waited for to answer but nothing came out on the other line of the phone. He sighed and bit his inner cheek and spoke up "Mom, look, I know-"

"I'll help you Wonwoo" She had cut him off which made him wide his eyes. He didn't think that she would accept so easily. He thought they were going to be talking about who knows how long but apparently not.

"What are you agreeing so easily?" Wonwoo said with confusion in his voice and she heard her sigh into which she responded.

"I'll help you because, if she makes you happy then it makes me happy. Knowing that you are happy after a long time then it makes me glad." Her voice was soft and she finally was accepting his decision "I will finally be able to have my old son back and not the cold and nasty one I had for five years straight" she said teasingly which made him chuckle a bit.
