Can this be called as a Love Story?

Chapter - 2

As they were approaching Mrs.Brinda's cabin, Riya started having a conversation with her.
" Hi. I'm Riya".
"I'm Sanskriti".

"You seem to be new here".
"Yeah, I just joined the college yesterday", replied Sanskriti.
"Nice. You joined yesterday and today you're working for the faculty, are you the teacher's pet?"
The moment Sanskriti heard her words her expression changed.
"Nope. As I didn't attend college for 2 weeks she wanted me to do all her work" said Sanskriti.
" Oh, that's sad. By the way, where are you from?"
"Trichy" replied Sanskriti.
Listening to this Riya remembered that her friend Saathvik was also from her state so she said, " Oh, even my friend, Saathvik is also from Tamil Nadu. You've to meet him once, such a cool guy he is".

While talking about Saathvik, Riya was expecting an eager expression from Sanskriti but received nothing as,
"Oh, okay" was Sanskriti's reply.

Riya kept on talking to Sanskriti while Sanskriti wasn't much interested in talking to her.
They finally went to Mrs.Brinda's cabin and submitted the notes.
Before Riya could bid her bye Sanskriti left for her class.

Riya's Point of View:

She seems to be disinterested in talking to me. She could've at least said bye before going. How can Saathvik like a girl with a lot of attitude? Does she like him? She seemed to give no reaction while I talked about Saathvik. I've to find out about her interest towards him.

While thinking about all this she went back to her class and sat near Saathvik.

Saathvik's Point of View:

Sanskriti joined the college yesterday and I didn't get a chance to interact with her. I thought that I would have a conversation with her while helping her submit the notes but this Riya poked her nose. I must somehow meet Sanskriti and talk with her.

My thoughts were interrupted by Riya who started talking to me,

"Man, your girl isn't talking much. Is she an introvert?"
"Did you try talking to her?" asked Saathvik.
"Yes, but she replies in one line or one word" complained Riya.
"She's like that only" replied Saathvik.
"I find her a bit rude. How can you even fall for her? You guys are total opposites" said Riya with a confused expression on her face.
" Riya, I don't like her and she isn't rude. You met her only today and how can you judge her without knowing her? That's kinda unfair" replied Saathvik as Riya finally gave up and said,
" Okay fine. It's not like I'm judging her, it's just that I felt a bit distant from her and I forgot the fact that you know her more than us.
But when I saw you looking at her, not in the class, but in the morning, your eyes glistened..... and before Riya could complete,

"Saathvik! Come let's go to the Cafeteria" said Vijay as he came and sat at Saathvik's table.
"Vijay, please go alone Saathvik is having a word with me" said Riya.
" The topic is quite interesting if you want you can join us in the talk," said Neha.

A curious Vijay started listening as Riya started narrating,
Today we were a bit early to the college so just roaming around the corridor when we saw a crowd near the garden of the Arts Department as all three of us approached the crowd we saw a girl who was constantly beating a guy while another girl tried to stop her. She was beating the hell out of him and that was when a professor went and talked to her, I was shocked and looked at these 2 people as I wanted to see their reactions, Neha was equally shocked as I while Saathvik looked at her proudly, he admired her for a few minutes, his eyes had said a lot of unsaid emotions which we both noticed. He looked at her as if he had known her for ages. I then looked at the girl only to find her staring at him as they had eye contact for a few seconds but I was unable to read her emotions. I wanted to why she beat the shit out of him but the other girl who tried to stop her dragged her somewhere.

Now Vijay is more eager to know about her.
So out of curiosity, he questioned, "Who's she?"
"The one who came to the class to collect notes, she's Saathvik's friend" replied Neha.
"We just know each other. We're not friends", replied Saathvik.
"So Riya, Did you ask her about the morning stunt?" asked Neha.
"No Neha. I want Saathvik to ask her about the stunt as I want to see her expression when she's talking to him" said Riya.
"Guys, not again! Let's go to the cafeteria" said Saathvik and as they stood up to leave the bell rang indicating that the next class had started so Saathvik sat at his place while groaning with the others.
