"Excuse me officer, is Jeffery Molina or Yaniel Echeverria here today?" I ask the officer in the lobby.
"Yes, why?" He replies.
"I'd like to speak with them."
"Did those two goofballs do something?"
"No?"
"Then what do you need them for?"
"To discuss a case they're on."
He sighs deeply, "Alright I'll get them now." He stands up and heads to the break room. He then comes back with Jeffery and Yaniel.
"Hey J- Dog!" Jeffery says.
"Yo F- Bomb." Yaniel says.
"Really Yaniel?" Jeff asks.
"What? You said the first letter of his first name with something cool so I said the first letter of his last name with something cool." Yaniel replies.
"Do you know what F- Bomb means?"
"Fitzgerald?"
"No, it's the F word dude."
"Ohh. Ok umm, Yo F- Alcon. I'll work on it."
We all laugh.
"Hey guys, listen I still have questions."
"About the restaurant?" Jeffery asks.
"Yes, there must be something we're missing." I answer.
"But we have everything, there's nothing else we can really explain."
"Listen, a few days ago I wrote some things down about the restaurant."
"Alright let's hear it."
"Well I wrote it down. Here." I hand the note to Jeff.
"Several suspects. Two employees as suspects. CEO never going to be CEO again. New restaurant built." Jeff reads aloud, "Ok, these are all things we know. Why are you showing us this?"
"How many animatronics are there?"
"Three functional animatronics, one broken animatronic and one puppet thing."
"Wrong, eight functional animatronics and one living puppet."
"Eight? Living? What?"
"I'm working there dude and the previous ones are in the back and they come to life trying to kill me. And the puppet is alive too. It'll try to kill me."
"Really?"
"Yes really."
"Well our commissioner doesn't want us working the case, so we can't get a search warrant."
"Well what can we do?"
"I don't know. I really don't know. When's the next time you work?"
"Later tonight."
"Oh, ok look we'll figure something out. We'll look back in the evidence room and see what we can find. We'll be there before 12 alright?"
"Uhh alright ok, that's fine with me."
"Alright. Any thing else?"
"Yeah why were you guys at the restaurant last night?"
"Oh one of the animatronics contacted us. It was just a big misunderstanding."
"Oh. Well alright. That's all my questions."
"Alright, well we'll see you at the restaurant alright?"
"Alright, see ya."
"Later."
I walk out of the police department and enter my car.
"God damn it!" I yell to myself. I sigh, "Well at least the restaurant is about to close." I look at my watch, 3:26 P.M.
"I still got some time to rest. I'm gonna go home to be ready for tonight. I feel like this night will feel significantly longer." I say while I start the car and drive home to sleep.
