Wendy took a sip of her coffee, Heidi and Kyle sitting across from her. It had been a week since their discussion and they had begun meeting at Tweak Bros Coffee, it was their place to discuss plans, and just to spend time together outside of school and work as magical girls, and her face was etched with worry.
"So... are we going to pretend like everything's normal right now?" Wendy asked,
"Well I mean we can't really be normal... we are magical girls..." Heidi interjected, Wendy shot her a look.
"Besides that!" She huffed, she pointed at Kyle, "Have you checked up on Stan recently? I haven't seen him at school much..."
Kyle paused, his gaze softening, "uh... I mean I have talked to him a little bit, he is in school but he's been leaving early because his dad is having him help on the farm..."
Wendy nodded, and then continued on, "Alright makes sense... but there's another issue, I'm worried about Bebe... something is wrong with her, have you guys noticed? She's seemed really paranoid, and Clyde's been distant from her..."
"What? But that doesn't make sense? Wendy, Bebe's wish was literally about Clyde, it's impossible for him to be distant like that!" As Kyle spoke Heidi suddenly interrupted...
"Actually about that... Bebe's wish was wanting to get back together with Clyde... it was never anything about them staying together... there was always the possibility of them breaking up again..."
Wendy froze, a look of shock coming over her, "Heidi are you fucking serious!? You decide to tell us this now!? That's it I'm calling Bebe! She always answers the phone. I'll be able to help her!" Wendy stood up storming out of the cafe, yet when she called her phone instantly it went to voicemail. Wendy hurried to Bebe's house and pounded on her door. When the door opened Bebe's mother stood there, a soft smile seeing Wendy,
"Oh hello Wendy! What can I help you with?" Mrs Steven's said softly,
Wendy struggled to maintain a calm tone, "Is Bebe here? Or uh do you know where she is?" Wendy asked frantically, her hands shaking,
"Oh I thought she was hanging out with you kids today! She said she was going out for a bit! You really seemed stressed, is everything alright?"
Wendy nodded shakily, "Yeah, just school stress... uh... have a nice day Mrs. Stevens!" Wendy quickly turned around, she began walking trying to think of any possible explanation for Bebe's disappearances, Heidi was probably looking on the other side of town, Kyle probably was with her... she was thankful for their help but she knew Bebe best... she knew it would be her that would find Bebe...
She'd been the closest to Bebe since they were kids, they were neighbors after all. Bebe was everything she admired, beautiful, confident, and so friendly with everyone, sure Wendy was in the popular circle, but she never felt like she truly fit in. Multiple times people would say she was too argumentative. But it was alright, because Bebe always stood by her.Because that's what friends do right?
Kyle had stopped searching with Heidi after a bit, he didn't have much he could help with since he personally wasn't close to Bebe. As he walked back home he began feeling a strong sensation, and he instantly knew in his gut that a grief seed was hatching nearby. He continued walking and finally found it, it was attached to the town's coffee shop Tweak Bros Coffee, the coffee shop was already closed, and the area was practically deserted for the night. Honestly it wasn't that surprising to Kyle for a grief seed to form here, they formed mainly in places of sadness and negative emotions, and the owners son Tweek was full of it. Kyle didn't talk to him anymore, but he saw him around school a lot. He knew something was up since he repeatedly saw Tweek be escorted to the nurse by his boyfriend Craig, but that wasn't really important to him. But Kyle prepared for the labyrinth to open, preparing himself for the battle ahead.
