Kyle walked home, the thoughts of the conversation before whirling in his mind. Everything he thought he knew about this world was wrong... magical girls, witches, all of the missing people in the town... he just couldn't believe it was all linked. Heidi said that Kyle was targeted due to his low mental health, which made sense... his little brother Ike Broflovski had been missing for two months now. There were no leads on where he had gone... This had significantly changed the way his parents acted, his father Gerald had started overworking in his office, and his mother Sheila did everything in her power to get people involved. She had been doing news reports, getting multiple organizations involved, even with the police telling her there were no leads she still pressed on. Kyle admired her for her bravery in the public eye, but at home she spent most of her time in her room crying. Kyle didn't blame her, she was missing one of her own sons. Kyle decided he should just go to sleep, walking up to his room and closing the door as quietly as he could. But as soon as he did he heard the howl of the wind... the hairs on his neck standing up as he knew he wasn't alone. There was the soft pitter patter of paws as he spun around and found himself with a small cat-like creature, its eyes gleamed red as it stretched, its tail swaying. "Who are you..?" Kyle tried to keep his voice from shaking, maintaining a stern tone. "I thought Heidi Turner had mentioned me to you?" Its voice sounded joyful, and suddenly Kyle realized who it was. "Wait, you're Kyubey?" Kyle asked, stunned, and also confused on why it was here. "Yes I am! You know, Kyle Broflovski, you have a lot of potential! I think you would make an amazing magical girl!" Kyle's eyes widened, "Wait, you're offering me this deal? I thought you only offered it to girls? Plus... why me?" Kyle asked, he was untrusting of this creature, especially after everything that had already happened. "It's pretty rare for me to offer this sort of deal to a male. But it has been done before! Kyle, I believe that you have the potential to be a very powerful magical girl! If you make a contract with me you can have anything you wish!" "Look, I don't understand why you want me... I don't want to be involved in this stuff! I want to have a normal life-" Kyle began before Kyubey spoke again, an excited chirp to it, "But we both are aware things will never return to normal. I feel it in your soul Kyle, you're scared of where your brother has gone. Your wish could protect him and everybody else in this town!" Kyubey's voice ran through Kyle's head, his body shaking as he began to think about it. "It's only natural for you to be scared, you are human after all. But you were born a leader! The amount of energy inside you would easily make you a strong magical girl! You were born for this role, all you have to do is accept it Kyle!" Kyle began thinking about it more, so much had happened since Ike disappeared. Ike's disappearance had torn his family apart. He was unable to focus on assignments, and he felt like he was becoming distant from everyone he loved and cared about... "You understand what you must do, correct kyle? You'll be saving this world!" "Yeah, I do now.." Kyle nodded, before finally looking up to meet Kyubeys eyes, Kyle swore that Kyubey could read all of his thoughts, like he was staring directly into his soul, "I wish, for my brother, Ike Broflovski to come back home safe, so that my family could be whole again!"
