Pretending was just about one of the hardest things for a magical girl to do, and some of them weren't able to keep up. After Bebe's body was found, it was ruled a suicide. They assumed she had taken something due to her body simply being found without a pulse. Wendy had stayed home from school, too deep in her depression to face everyone. But she couldn't help but feel resentment for who caused it. Clyde Donavan.
Wendy despised him, she hated how much of a stupid jock he was, she hated how he hung around Cartman. But most importantly she hated how he took Bebe away from her. While she stayed at home, Stan, Heidi, and Kyle would try to cheer her up, or even just talk to her, but she couldn't stand it. She resented all of them, she could've found a way to turn Bebe back, but they killed her, they killed Bebe without letting her stop them. They didn't truly care about her, they just pitied her, she hated Heidi for never telling her the truth, she was a magical girl for much longer, she must've known. One of the days that she slept curled up in bed Kyubey appeared, slipping in through the open window.
"What's wrong Wendy?" Kyubey asked, its tone monotone as ever, Wendy's grip on the blankets she wrapped herself in tightened,
"What the hell do you want..." Wendy murmured, her gaze piercing as she looked at Kyubey.
"I'm simply here to talk to you! I don't understand why you've been so avoidant of everybody!" Kyubey exclaimed as it jumped onto the bed, "You magical girls get so stressed with any little issue, Bebe should've known her soul gem would corrupt if she didn't take care of it!"
Wendy became fed up, she threw the blankets off of herself and grabbed Kyubey by the throat, roughly slamming him down. "You don't understand what us magical girls go through! You should've told us that we'd turn into witches!"
Kyubey seemed unfazed, simply squirming in her grasp slightly, "You never asked, if you did I would've told you!" Wendy grit her teeth, releasing her grip, "It's just interesting that you defend Bebe despite the fact she wasn't ever that strong, her wish was surface level at best, so her magic wasn't that strong, she would've had to rely on you for everything." It's tone was condescending, "Even if you got her a grief seed before her witch hatched, she probably wouldn't have stuck around much longer after that!"
Wendy felt like she couldn't take it anymore, she didn't want to hear it, and in the heat of the moment she transformed, pulling out her rifle and pulling the trigger at Kyubey. The shot rang in her ears, and Kyubey flopped onto the bed, its leg still twitching slightly, suddenly she looked up and saw Kyubey watching her, her eyes widened as she looked back and forth from the corpse and what was standing in the window.
"I see you're in no mood to talk, I simply wanted to warn you of the fate of all magical girls." Kyubey murmured, turning and disappearing into the night,
The fate of all magical girls... something about those words echoed in Wendy's head, Was this all to life now? Waiting for the day we fulfill our fate and turn into a witch?
Wendy transformed back, picking up the limp husk of what Kyubey was, she dumped it in her trash can, her mind made up with what she must do.
She was going to find Clyde Donavan tomorrow.
