The labyrinth began to open and instantly Kyle was surrounded by what looked like some sort of candy wonderland, the skies were bright, and he could see some sort of castle in the distance.
He quickly transformed, twirling his staff in front of him as his magic glowed brightly, his soul gem was slightly tarnished due to him not hunting very frequently lately. But he still had enough magic to defeat a simple witch like this.
Strangely enough, this labyrinth seemed different... the familiars were sparse, the ones he encountered were small weak creatures, Kyle didn't even use magic on them, simply swinging his staff like a bat. But as he opened the gates instantly he was swarmed with much stronger familiars, candy knights that swung their swords at him, Kyle had to quickly dodge many of them and continue fighting, but quickly one swung and the sword slashed near his collar, scarily close to his soul gem.
Kyle stumbled back, the fear rising in his chest, he clutched the staff close to himself raising it, he didn't like using his magic too much since it was so draining. His breathing was much quicker as the orb on his staff glowed brightly, the blood from the cut stung against his skin, and finally the magic seemed to begin, the electricity from the sky crackled down taking down many of the familiars, but there were still more,
Kyle tried fending them off but felt another slice into his side, he was trembling, trying to keep his grip on his staff to keep fighting, was this really how it would end for him? He felt like things were just beginning, his new life was made after encountering a witch, yet here he was, seemingly about to die at the hands of another witch. Kyle saw a sword swing towards him and he clenched his eyes tight shut. Suddenly he felt a strange heat in front of him, and the crackle of fire made Kyle open his eyes. He could tell it was another magical girl, when the final familiar was scorched he watched the magical girl remove their hat, wiping the sweat off their head.
"Looks like I got here just in time dude!" Stan turned around with a nervous smile, he gripped the flamethrower tight in his arms. Kyle let out a sigh of relief, he instantly hugged Stan, grateful to see him.
"Since when the hell are you a magical girl!?" Kyle exclaimed as he pulled away, Stan laughed,
"I could ask you the same thing! But let's focus on the witch! We can talk afterwards dude!" Kyle nodded in agreement and they both went further.
The witch was a monstrous creature, a mass of food and candy, with strange needles and medications mixed in with its form, it seemed strangely familiar to Kyle. But he didn't think anything of it, it really was just another witch to fight,
Kyle and Stan's magic seemed to work perfectly together, each making each other stronger, and as the witch was defeated and they transformed back, the labyrinth disintegrated around them. Stan quickly grabbed the grief seed but before he gave it to Kyle he suddenly hugged him tightly,
"I was really worried about you... you know that right dude?" Stan asked, "I thought something was going on, and you didn't want to be with me or something like that."
"I'm sorry..." Kyle began,
"No no I get it now! You should've told me sooner though! This is awesome! We can both be magical girls together!" Stan interrupted,
"Do you want to uh... talk for a bit at my house? My parents aren't home because Ike had a school thing, we can explain everything to each other there."

"Wait, so Bebe's missing right now?" Stan asked, an eyebrow raised, he was laying next to Kyle in bed, Kyle adjusted himself, propping himself up on his elbow, he had some bandages on his collar from the slices of the familiar's blades, but thankfully due to being a magical girl they were sure to heal quickly.
"Yeah, but I've talked enough about me and the other girls, can you tell me how the hell you became a magical girl?" Kyle asked, Stan's gaze drifted away from him,
"Well, I kinda drank again. I thought you were upset at me and my dad was really pissing me off..." Stan's tone faltered for a moment, Kyle looked like he wanted to yell at him for drinking again, "But I swear! It's different now that I'm a magical girl! I know I was drunk when I made my wish but we both know I can do a lot of good with my powers now!"
Kyle let out a sigh, Stan was right, and he knew by his tone he wasn't just making excuses this time, "Alright... I trust you... but what did you wish for specifically?" Kyle asked,
Stan thought back to the night he made his wish, he basically vented about all of his issues to Kyubey for a solid hour before finally having enough and making a wish. His mother had just come home from work and instantly Randy was arguing with her, he couldn't stand it and finally had turned to Kyubey,
"I wish my mother would do what her heart wants instead of wasting her time arguing..." Stan repeated, his gaze fixed on Kyle's ceiling,
"So your wish was about Ike... how's that been since he's been back?" Stan asked,
"It's been pretty good, my parents are naturally super overprotective of him now, Ike's been doing a lot of school clubs so my parents have been out of the house a lot to cheer him on, especially in sports... god it reminds me of our days doing little league..." Kyle went silent for a moment before glancing at Stan,
"How'd your wish go?" Kyle asked,
Stan shrugged, "She's divorcing him which I expected, but she said she's taking a year for herself before talking about custody agreements, she only has to worry about me since y'know, Shelley's a legal adult now, and she's off in Delaware for college..." he paused for a moment, his gaze meeting Kyle, "Do you think I look like my dad? Is that why my mom isn't discussing custody agreements yet?"
"What? No dude you don't." Kyle scoffed, "You said it yourself, your wish for her to follow her heart, she absolutely loves you, she just needs her own time too..."
Stan nodded, resting his head against Kyle's shoulder, "Yeah... that makes sense..."
"No matter what happens, we'll stick together right?" Kyle asked, "I love you Stan, I don't know what I'd do if anything happened to you..."
Stan nodded, "No matter what, I'll always love you and fight with you..."
