~ Relaxing, ft. healing knitting (part 2) ~
Summary: In which, a trip to the Library gains you an unexpected outcome with an unexpected kindness (somewhat lucky day).
It felt like walking into the village was comparable to how you step into a whole new world or rather environment. As mentioned before, there were now numerous houses being built in the village which means a bigger crowd of now residents both monsters and humans alike.
Despite the undeniable fact that the villagers themselves did nothing wrong at all for now, at least. But at the cost of knowing the future, the story of how it came to be. . it wasn't quite pleasant in having that knowledge.
On the bright side, it made you at least be prepared anything that can be done by utilizing the very same knowledge you come to love and hate. Even if it will take quite a lot of times, years even to do preparations. . it was something that you can do to at least honor the favor and the new life you have bestowed upon.
A grip on your own phalanges brought you back from your usual thoughts and looked to Nightmare who just seemed to be focusing on the way to the Library but the force of the grip said something otherwise.
Of course, you are aware of the intention behind it as a way to comfort you which you wholeheartedly appreciate and mentally scold yourself for being a killjoy in this kind of atmosphere.
Heaving a sigh to yourself in particular, you returned the gesture back that made Nightmare's non-existent mouth curl up by just a little. No doubt that he knew that you definitely noticed it even if there were no look or words exchanged.
You suppose you were quite content in this development, so might as well cherish these moments after all. Every bothersome and anxious thinking would be put aside for now. It was the least you can do to at least enjoy the luxury of life.
With phalanges and phalanges (read as hand in hand), the two of you made your way to Library and occasionally got looks from some of the villagers while passing by. But due to your practicing to at least detect somewhat negative feelings (aside from mainly to be able to feel positive feelings) and fortunately, it was none.
It was just purely curiosity or just their urge to look for. .whatever reasons that may be. This made you in such a good mood that this day is going rather smoothly (while ignoring your own episode that one time today) and unintentionally, you let out a bit of magic aura of positivity.
Nightmare, having his gaze on the road immediately turned to look at his brother when he felt the wave of positivity emanating from his side which of course was his brother. He could see that his brother was letting out a bit of positivity without a thought or intended to do as such. Although, there was nothing wrong with it as it just means that his brother was in quite a happy mood, which he was glad.
For quite some time of walking, you could clearly see the Library that was just near as both you and Nightmare entered. There were a bit of readers occupying the Library itself as opposed to the first time you and Nightmare ever visited the Library. But the good thing was that the owner of the Library still kept their word and at the same time the deal or rather promise (somewhat) was made throughout time.
You immediately made your way to one of the chairs, separating yourself from Nightmare while he goes to the owner and returned the books he had already read and the same thing goes the owner lets Nightmare to borrow other books based on what he is interested in.
"It seems to be rare for you to come here yourself. Usually that young Dream comes here." The owner started, his own movements focusing on arranging the stacked books to the shelves. Nightmare could only blink at the sudden initiation of conversation but replied,
