BUCKY WAS BREATHING HEAVILY as he walked back and forth outside the tent. He just wanted to scream and hit something or someone. It couldn't be real. It just couldn't. All the pain he had suffered in the last months. That was real, not this.
Sam walked out of the tent and looked around until he spotted Bucky pacing back and forth in a small quiet corner of the base. With a sigh he walked to him, but before he could even speak up, Bucky beat him to it.
"Go away, I'm fine", Bucky harshly told him.
"You clearly aren't", Sam replied with a knowing look.
"What do you want me to say? How heart broken or how angry I am right now? It's not real. It's just some kind of illusion. So, I'm fine", Bucky told him, raising his voice a bit as he finally stopped and locked eyes with Sam.
"But do you really believe those things?", Sam asked him, sympathy in his voice.
At that Bucky clenched his jaw and looked down. Honestly? No, he didn't.
"Look, man, I'm gonna leave you alone if you want. But you can talk to me, to us. This is hard for everyone. So, if we want to figure out whatever this is, we need to trust each other", Sam told him truthfully. Bucky only looked up at him and slowly nodded. That was all he needed to say.
Sam sighed and slowly nodded back before walking back inside. Bucky stayed a while more. He thanked that it was already dark outside, so that no one could see the tears that had fallen down his face.

"First and foremost, our main objective is to get any intel on Captain Rambeau, but originally, this case was a mission person, so we're going to start there. As for Cameron Stark and Sergeant Barnes we'll just have to assume that they're not real, for the moment", Woo explained as they were all now in a separate meeting room.
