Vera didn't know how far she flew, she finally stopped when she reached a small island. It was far from any lands. She was alone and that is all she needed. She didn't know how to get home but the was a problem for later, she needed to get away from the daunting thought of being a wife, she would be trapped, forced to live with Aegon for the rest of her life. She would be trapped. With Aegon.

Aegon. The same boy who would try his hardest to make the girl smile with his jokes. Aegon, the boy who would allow her to drag him around the keep in the early mornings just to show him a flower he couldn't careless for. Aegon who would go out of his way to spend the day Vera.

All those memories dosed with the poisonous words he spoke that night. The tint of grey on the all but happy memories. Vera didn't know how to forgive him because with Aegon comes Aemond and he was a whole other story

The boy who lost apart of himself that night. Even his name brought a sour taste to the girl mouth. She couldn't blame him for the fight he didn't start, but he pushed everyone to it. He called them bastards. He lost his eye. Vera couldn't face the boy, the guilt and the anger would build up at the thought of him.

The air on the island was fresh untainted by human life. The grass was tall never been touched, the trees rustled against each other creating peaceful background noise for the girls thoughts.

When she was to marry she would be moved to Kingslanding. She wouldn't see her mother and father everyday, she wouldn't she see her brothers. She would miss them, after they herd of the proposal would they even want to speak to her? Would her sisters want to speak to her after they find out that Vera was going to be living in the same castle as Aemond. Would they push her away and ignore her after she was married because they believed that she wanted this.

But she would get to live with Haelena, her sweet aunt who still sent her letters after Driftmark. The same person who went out of her way to send her the new flowers the keepers would plant, the same girl who would whisper words during the day about a girl who would never hear them. Maybe there was one up to living in Kingslanding.

She would enjoy her freedom for now until the world wished for her to be a princess again.

Aegon didn't know how to feel. He hadn't spoke to Vera in a few years and yet they were to marry. Did she still hate him? They were to be husband and wife she would have to forgive him at some point wouldn't she?

Aegon had set it upon himself in the next few days to come to learn about Vera, to see what he had missed out on in the years he has been absent. Hopefully he would be able to rebuild the bond they once had when they where younger. Maybe it was all just a stupid dream for a Targaryen prince to live a happy life with out consequences but he would try to make her life the best he could for her.

Aegon spent days reading the letter Vera had sent Healena in the years, some were shorter than others but most had something new that had happened. He had learnt that she had claimed Cannibal about a year ago, she had been going to lessons with Daemon on how to use her sword and that she had forgiven Daemon for marring her mother after such a short period of time. Perhaps that meant that Aegon would be forgiven as well.

Vera was still sat on the island hours later, and she had no tears left to cry. She didn't want to go home yet, she didn't want to go back to the life of the oldest child. She wanted to be free. The water around her gently hit the sand, her thought consumed about her aunt who at the same time were repeating  the words 'deep below the froathing water, slowy drowns some scorned man's daughter.'

Vera was brought out of her thoughts when a high pitched screech was heard, it was her father. She quickly stood up and wiped the sand from her pants. She walked close to Cinis a numb look in her eyes.

The dragon offering comfort brought it's snout to the girls shoulder and gently nudged it the girl let out a wet laugh and gave the dragon a rub on the nose. "Sȳrī jikagon lenton aderī valonqar" she spoke to the dragon. (We will go home soon boy)

As Caraxes landed on the small island Vera turned to face her father. "So mother sent you to collect me" She spoke as he dismounted his dragon.

"She and the rest of the family worries for you" He spoke as he walked closer to his daughter only to be stopped by a dragons growl.

"Sagon gīda cinis" Vera spoke and the dragon calmed down but still didn't take his eyes off the man (Be calm Cinis). "Well I needed to get away before I did something impulsive" She spoke her hand fidgeting with each other a habit she picked up from Luke.

"Your mother said that she didn't mean for you to react this way" Daemon spoke to the girl lightly.

"Did mother tell you why I left?" Vera questioned her eyes starting to water again.

"No but I am sure that-" He spoke again trying to defend what his wife had said.

"I am to be married" Those words silenced Daemon whose face turned sour at the thought "Mother received a letter from grandsire accepting a proposal from years ago" The more the girl spoke the more tear came to her eyes.

"I am sure your mother can speak to my brother about what is going on and he can tell the lord that you are not to marry." Daemon tries to console his daughter who let out an empty laugh.

"Yes tell the king that his granddaughter can't marry his own son. Tell the king no" She spoke sarcastically a sob breaking half way though the sentence "I am to marry Aegon" Those words bought anger to the man as he watch his daughter cry.

He took a careful walked forward watching Cinis from the corner of his eye when the dragon made no movement to stop him, the man quickly brought his daughter into a hug, her head instantly hiding in his chest.

"Sweet girl, what is the matter, I know you don't wish to marry but I can assure you there are many worst options" He tried to comfort his daughter who shook her head.

"Everything will change. Everything has changed." She cried "First Harwin gets sent away, then we move away from Kingslanding. Then Kepa dies. Now I shall be married and sent away from you all." Vera sobbed as Daemon hugged her tighter.

"Nobody likes change daughter, but we all face it sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad but we all face it. But I promise you the moment you want to come home, I shall be there with Caraxes ready to take you home." He spoke firmly. Vera's let a small smile grace her face as she gently pulled away she stuck her pinky finger out at the man.

"Promise" She whispers looking up at the man her eyes red from the tears.

"I promise little dragon." Daemon spoke.
