ok so I am an absolute dickhead for this, I know, and I'm sorry.
While I did promise not to quit on my fic like a bunch of other authors do, here are the issues:
1. the plot is everywhere, I'm not following half of what I should be
2. characters are not in character most of the time and switch up feelings at the drop of a hat (which is driving me absolutely fucking crazy)
3. school starts up again for me on August 8th so I'll be crazy busy with that considering I've decided to move forward with working towards getting my Medical license (round of applause for me)
4. my mother is 34 weeks pregnant (no fucking clue how because no offense to her but she's old) and going to have my brother literally at any moment now (if you know anything about pregnancy, don't worry about him coming early, they've told her she's in the clear) so I'll be busy helping out with taking care of him
5. again, SCHOOL.
6. this book is just flat out fucking disorganized and I can't deal
so my options were either do extensive editing (i don't know how long that would take) or just scrap it and try again
but i realized that doing the editing might as well just mean scrapping it because it needs so much work
therefore, with a heavy heart, i announce im officially putting it on permanent (probably) hold
I plan to just work on dealing with the things going on in my life, and then i'll write a new version (likely under a different name but probably still Taylor Swift based lol)
i'll keep this version up until that new one gets published, then i'll just keep this in my drafts
i'm going to use (i think) most of the same characters for the new version and stuff like that but this is just too messy for me to deal with right now and i feel bad making you all wait forever for updates with the promise that i'm not quitting when i really kinda am
again, so sorry for promising something i couldn't follow through with because i know that's shitty, but at some point i will get that new version up for whoever wants to read it (im already working on it! don't worry)
