In complete honesty, it was quite a surprise I was still "allowed" to hang around Draco, Blaise, and Lorenzo.

I mean sure, we had all been friends since forever, but that wouldn't stop them from dropping me at the tip of a hat.

Onyx soon wouldn't be around, Lucille was in the process of not being allowed to be.

The three of us were the only three girls that have been in the friend group since the first year without an official kick to the ass.

There had of course been plenty of other girls over the years. Like Danielle Boggs, Bonnie Palth, and Millie Gray to name a few.

Danielle was around in our fifth year, she continually hooked up with Draco, and when Draco got bored, she suddenly didn't sit with us.

Bonnie was around from the third year to the sixth, the longest anyone stuck around after Luce, Onny, and I. She made the mistake of dating Blaise and then when he broke up with her to be with Onyx, she pretty much threw a fit. She had every reason to be upset, he screwed her over. But it apparently wasn't acceptable for her to be upset and suddenly she was gone too.

I say gone meaning we see her in the halls and nobody acknowledges her, as if we never knew her at all.

Daphne Greengrass is somehow still around, no idea how. She dated Lorenzo from September to February of the fourth year before she came out. To this day it is the most chaotic and blurred relationship our friend group has ever seen. Blurred meaning nobody knows exactly what happened but we know that both Daphne and Lorenzo could barely look at each other and that Daphne, no matter how much she promises that she forgives him and how many times she's told us they talked it out, will curse his name until she is dead.

That brings us to Millie, who was Lorenzo's girlfriend less than three weeks after Daphne. Then a week later she was gone too.

I don't know the process of not being "allowed" to hang out with us, because I'd never had to tell anyone that, but I know that you can do something very small, get upset just a tiny bit, and it's over.

Now Onyx is with Blaise. Meaning if they were to break up, it's quite possible she'd be gone too.

Lucille could be booted simply for her blood status, but now that she's been messing around with Draco, the odds are quite against her. It understandably makes her rather uncomfortable that at any moment she could be sitting by herself and having none of us talk to her.

I just have to make it to the end of this year without getting involved with any of the drama or causing any issues. But then I run the risk of being "too boring."

You really can't win.

"So, plans for after school?" Blaise passed a bottle of whiskey across that table to Draco who had his arm hung around Lucille's shoulder. "That was directed at anyone who knows what the fuck they're doing in life."
