Yuki's POV

Finally, this Friday has come to an end, just like my working day. I received a message from Charles this morning, but I've only read it now. A courier will come to us in the evening and bring the cameras. Wow, I'm impressed that he didn't forget about our conversation and seriously decided to put cameras in the house. Apparently, if that's the case, then he's really bothered by the oddities in the house. But to be completely honest, I'm not thrilled with his stories about moving things and twitching handles at night either. So I hope that the cameras will help us figure out what the hell is going on.

When I got home, Charles wasn't there yet, although his working day had ended an hour ago. Is he staying late again? He got into the habit of staying late at work, and he probably thinks that I don't know about it, because I used to come home from work later than him. I wouldn't have known if Liam hadn't asked me to talk to my neighbor about it. But I never did - he's a big boy, let him decide what to do with his life. And I just know his character: I tell him to stop sitting in the station for days, so tomorrow he'll go there with a bag and things for a week and say that there is a lot of work. But then again, thanks to Liam, I know that Leclerc's work as a detective can now be counted on the fingers of one hand.

When I entered the kitchen, I saw a note lying on the floor by the refrigerator. I picked it up from the floor and read it: "If you haven't read the message in the morning, then I repeat: a courier will come in the evening and bring the cameras, so call Logan so that he comes and set ups them. I sent you Logan's number in a message. See you tonight. Charles ;)". How thoughtful of him. But yes, he sent me Logan's number, so I'll have to call him since Charles himself isn't home yet. And while I had time, I changed into my home clothes and decided to have dinner.

As soon as I started warming up dinner, the doorbell rang. The couriers are on time as always. Leaving the knife on the table and taking off my apron, I went to the front door. A young guy in a courier service uniform was standing outside.

"Are you Charles Leclerc?"

"Do I look like a purebred Monegasque?"

It seems that the guy was confused and didn't know what to answer, but I just laughed and said that I was his neighbor, and Charles himself was at work. The courier said that when ordering, a note was made to transfer the goods to a neighbor and called my name, to which I nodded, took a package with boxes with cameras and signed for receipt. After that, the guy hurriedly walked away, and I closed the door behind him and looked into the bag - how many pieces did he order?

I left the bag in the hallway and went back to the kitchen to call Logan and finally finish dinner. I was even surprised when Charles's colleague literally immediately picked up the phone.

"Did they delivered the cameras already?"

"Well, since you already know everything, then why do we need cameras at all if we have you?"

"You're such a joker, Yuki."

"Well, sometimes. When are you coming?"

"Within an hour."

"Great, I'll just have time to eat."

"Leave it for me too."

"You're too arrogant for a IT-guy."

After talking on the phone for a couple more minutes and exchanging mutual jokes, we ended the conversation and I returned to cooking my dinner. Strangely, Charles is still at work.

While I was cooking, and after that I had dinner, I managed to look through the news feed on social networks, but I didn't find anything interesting at all. All my friends posted mostly work-related posts, but personally, after work, I want to step away from all this a little bit. So I didn't find anything better than to log into a popular social network and let myself hang out in millions of short videos.
