Quite A Book

I woke up. i went to school. nothing unusual, right? well, if you put it like that, then right. if you give some detail, its not.

i went to the school bus with my friend Haley, and we walked up the steps holding hands. we sat down in our usual spot at the front of the bus, chatting and everything. i showed her a couple pictures on my phone, she showed me a couple pictures on hers, i took a couple pictures of her for my scrapbook, she took a couple pictures of me for her scrapbook, and we chuckled and giggled and everything. it was perfect.

when our grade's bullies sat down right behind us. i saw their faces walk past us, and i heard them settle down. i wasn't ready. i started shaking. Haley noticed. she got on her knees on the bus seat to look over, and she saw them. she dropped back, just like her smile.

"Hae, i cant." i whisper to her, when i hear one of the boy's shuffle. i look up. just what i expected. he's looking over our chair and at us. he giggled maliciously. i didn't know what he was about to do, but whatever it was, it wasn't good.

i was scared, scared from my head to my toes. i hated being humiliated. i hated being embarrassed. especially infront of the whole school bus. then one of the boys took out a reading book.

"hey Mikoe, can you read this?" he pointed at the second paragraph of the book. i gritted my teeth and my cheeks flared up as i looked at the paragraph, trying to read a single word. everyone on the bus snickered, except for Haley. i knew she would never do that.

the boy laughed, slamming the book close right infront of my face as i let out a surprised yelp. he laughed harder at that. tears welled up in my eyes. it was so humiliating! and about half of my school was on the bus, which made it even worse.
