As soon as i came into the theatre, i instantly regretted everything. i didnt think about what'd happen here.
the teacher greeted me with a smile, motioning to come to her. i slowly shuffled my feet through the kids.
"welcome!" she spoke cheerfully, patting me on the back. i think she noticed the nervousness in my smile. "it's gonna be okay, dont worry. some of them are new this year too," i dont think she actually understood why i was nervous. i wouldnt be able to read the script. "nice to meet you. I'm Mrs. Rose. You're Mikoe, right?"
i nodded hesitantly and scuttled back to the door, but my mom has already left, so i went back into the group. there was about ten of us altogether. i seemed more nervous than anyone else. and i stutter when im nervous. this was gonna be bad. really bad.
i was really nervous about going onstage, even for practice, when one of the kids came up to me and smiled.
"hey," he spoke, smiling softly at him. "My name is Kurt. you?" he took out his hand for a handshake. he seemed quite formal. but everyone has their minuses.
i take his hand and shake it. "Er, im Mikoe." i try to do a smile but it looks forced. i think he notices that.
"are you okay?" he asks, a worrying look passing on his face. i nod.
"just... nervous, yeah..." i chuckle, smiling. it was genuine this time. he nodded, smiling back.
"it all happens. its fine."
