Alaya's POV.

I looked at Roberts angrily. How dare he sit in my Nathan's place?

Oops. Nathan's not mine yet but still. How can he make Nathan sit in the side seats like us?

I know Roberts is the chairman but still, Nathan's the one who runs this firm and although he's a bit of a annoying ass but he's hardworking and I admire him for that.

Why is Nathan looking so gloomy?

I bit my lower lip and looked down.

It had been two days since I fought with him. I'm grateful that he still handed me the opportunity despite my blabbered nonsense.

I....I kinda realised something in the silence we both shared.

I do love him. Maybe more than I thought.

I can't stand it when any woman gets closer to him. I hate it when he's being disrespected by any of his clients. I admire him day and night and he just never leaves my mind and these all are the symptoms of a little, hearty thing called,

Love.

Chapter 23: Love.

"I came here specially, to introduce my older son to you all newbies." He spoke as if we were some insects.

I hate him absolutely for that sentence he just uttered.

Then, someone with the same facial features as Nathan and Roberts walked inside. He walked as if he were a king but logically, no one in their right mind would come to a meeting, official meeting to be precise that too the one taking place in your dad's own owned law firm, dressed in shorts and a white t-shirt. His shirt, unbuttoned and his gaze, flirtaous.

Cherry on top, I was introduced as a showpiece over there.

"This is ms.martinez. you know the daughter of Anthony." Roberts said with a smile.

I would've thought of him as kind had he not made Nathan's nostrils flare up just because I handshaked his brother.

"Hi. I'm Joseph. Seph to be short." He introduced.

I smiled faintly.

"Alaya." Giving a short reply, I sat back on my chair.

However, the devil sitting besides me was not content with whatever just happened.

He placed his hand on mine as I sat back down and he wouldn't let go of it no matter how much I tried.

I looked at him with a confused yet shy gaze.

"What are you doing? Leave my hand." I whisper yelled.

But Nathan was unfazed.

"I have to write down the notes, sir." I spoke in a urging tone.

He glared at me and tightened his hold on my palms.

"I told you to not call me sir." He said.

I gulped my saliva.

He's so scary.

But he looks hot, no?

"You love to disobey me, don't you?" He spoke with his eyes piercing mine.

My heart beated fastly and I felt my stomach twitch.

"You're right. I'm impatient, because guess what?" he said, his voice low and husky.

I gazed up at him with my large, puppy-like eyes, silently pleading with him to both release me and draw me closer at the same time.

"I can't bear to see anyone else, within a meter of you," he added, his words dripping with intensity and his eyes burning with possessiveness.
