I was on my way to the library to meet Bradley. This was the last thing I wanted to be doing but I had no choice.

I walked inside the library looking around for him, I spotted him at a table in the corner. He was writing something while frowning at his paper. What stick was constantly stuck up his ass? Does he know It doesn't hurt to smile every once in a while. I almost turned around not wanting to deal with any of his shit, but forced myself over because I knew there was no getting out of this.

"Do you want to start on section A or B?" He said without looking up from his paper.

"...Section B?" I said sitting down onto the chair across from him.

"This just says we have to have a conversation in Spanish. ¿Cómo ha sido tu día?" He said looking up at me.

"Uh, what?" I said in confusion.

He silently stared at me before sighing and saying, "Do you know 𝘢𝘯𝘺 Spanish?"

"...No."

"So what have u been doing in class." He said rubbing his forehead.

"I don't know...talking to Bobby."

"Guess I'll have to teach you then." He said sighing.

"How much Spanish do you know?" I asked.

"I'm fluent in it."

Woah, he was fluent in Spanish?

"Where'd you learn it?" I asked curiously.

"School."

"They never taught Spanish in my high school. You probably went to one of them fancy private schools though." I said waving my pen around.

"No...I was homeschooled."

Homeschooled?...

I slowly lowered my arm back onto the table. "Oh...why?"

He seemed kind of annoyed now. But he was like that most of the time anyways. "I just was. Let's get on with the work."

So his dad beat him and he was homeschooled as a kid? Yeah, something was not right here...but it was none of my business.

"You know what 'hello' is in Spanish, right?"

Did he think I was stupid? "Duh, dude."

"Okay, can you introduce yourself in Spanish?"

I'm pretty sure I know this. "Hola, cómo estás Max?..."

He stared at me frowning. "...No. You just asked how I'm doing."

"I could've sworn that was how you introduced yourself..." I said under my breath while rubbing my chin.

"Let's just take a break." He said gathering his stuff.

"Alright...you wanna go to the skatepark?"

Was he asking me to skate with him? I couldn't let him see me skate, I don't think I even knew how to anymore.

"I don't have my skateboard." I said knowing damn well I kept it in my backpack.

"I see it poking out your bag..."

Fuck.

"Oh...I forgot I put it in there." I said grabbing my bag and slinging it over my shoulder.

"Great, let's go." He said getting up and grabbing his board.

We began walking to the skatepark. How the fuck was I getting out of this? The last time I tried skateboarding again I nearly ended up in the hospital.

Max spoke as we were walking along campus, "So, how's your injuries?"

"Huh? Oh, they're better."

"That's good. How'd that happen anyways? I don't think I've ever seen you fall while skating."

I couldn't tell him I had just forgotten how to skate. I didn't need 𝘩𝘪𝘮 looking down on me, but I couldn't think of an excuse so I didn't have much choice but to tell the truth.

"...That was my first time skating in a while. I guess I just need to re-learn things."

"Re-learn?" He said confused.

Why did he have to ask so many questions? "Yeah. I...I think I kind of forgot how to skate."

He stopped walking suddenly. "What? How do you forget how to skate...YOU forgot how to skate?"

"Something like that..." I said barely above a whisper.

"You were only skating a few months ago, I don't understand. You can't have just forgotten how to skate in 3 months...Maybe you just need to get used to it again."

"Yeah, maybe."

I don't understand why I haven't been able to skate, but I'm guessing it's probably because of something to do with the X games.

"So...you wanna give it a go?" He asked.

Even if I couldn't, I wasn't going to admit that I couldn't skate at all anymore.

"...Yes. I'm sure if I just try hard enough I'll get the hang of it again."

"Alright." He began walking into the skatepark we had stopped in front of.

I followed behind him to the half-pipe.

He climbed up on the half-pipe and began to skate up and down it. I was dreading my turn, what if I still couldn't do it?

10 minutes passed by and Max hopped off the half-pipe and walked up to me. "You're up."

I slowly began walking towards the half-pipe and climbed up onto it, I dropped my board and stared down at it.

I couldn't do this. If I couldn't skate in front of Max he'd know he had destroyed me, he'd realise he has truly beat me at my own game, he would know he was better than me.

He was staring down at his skateboard, looking like he was about to cry.

"Hey, we can just go back and study..." I said realising he didn't want to skate.

He stood there still looking down before he suddenly grabbed his board and began walking away.

I jogged after him, "Brad wait, where are you going?"

He didn't say anything so I ran in front of him. "Bradley sto-"

Before I could even finish my sentence his fist collided with my face, I fell to the ground holding my nose in pain.

"Why are you doing this. You destroy my reputation, my life and then just act like nothing ever happened? Why won't you just leave me alone!!" He shouted.

𝘐 destroyed his reputation!? The fucking nerve of this guy.

I got up and tackled him to the ground, I started to punch him repeatedly and this psychopath didn't even try to block his face, he was more bothered about getting hits on me.

We rolled around on the grass fighting until we were both tired and covered in blood. He was about to hit me again when he just rolled off of me and onto the grass beside me, we both lay next to each other breathing heavily.

Once I caught my breath I spoke, "Get that off your chest?"

Still catching his breath he said, "Fuck you."
