THANKS .
A week passed, and I was still dating Peter Davies. But ever since Thursday, he's been getting distant with me. We met occasionally, but Peter kept cutting our conversations short, and leaving, but it didn't bother me a lot. On Saturday, it was a Quidditch Championship Match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw.
When I got to the change rooms, Peter arrived and said hurriedly, "You look nice today Robin, good luck." And he walked into the male change room.
After I changed though, I went to wish Peter good luck, but found myself horror-struck. I had walked in on Peter making out with a Hufflepuff girl I knew as Hayley Abbott, I was partners with her once in charms. They broke apart; Peter looked down at my hands then at me about to say something, but I turned and slammed the door. I look down at my hands too, and slowly walk out of the room, tears falling down my face.
I muttered mutinously to myself, thinking of Sirius's advice. Now I feel stupid not taking it. I felt a tear trickle down my face and I wiped it away, before anyone else could see. But a handsome voice said, "What's wrong gorgeous?" Damn. The last person I wanted to see me crying, Sirius.
"Nothing." I muttered, as he placed his had around me taking a momentarily stare at my hands, and leading me to the broom closet to get our brooms.
"Don't tell me nothing's wrong! I know that Robin Lynx Potter never cries. Except now." Sirius added.
"P-pet-ter." I stuttered quietly. Sirius's grip tightened.
"Why that sneaking son of a bitch!" Sirius said loudly, as we grabbed mine, his and James's Streaker 5000, the best brooms at the moment. Mum and Dad bought us them for Christmas.
James head popped out of the arch to the male change room, followed by his body. He gave a suspicious look at Sirius and looked at me.
"Swifty? What happened?" his face falling.
"The son of a bloody bitch Davies ditched Gorgeous!" Sirius said angrily, but as he stroked my hair, his face softened.
"Do I have permission to hex him to oblivion?"James asked attentively.
I nodded and buried my face in Sirius's chest.
"Let's go to the pitch, they're probably waiting." Sirius said, steering me to the exit, James walking along my other side. I wiped my face clean of tears, and mounted my broom and flew. I felt free, letting my feelings out, and the flames from my hands died out. But I looked down and saw Davies. Revenge.
The score so far had been 50 – 30 to the Gryffindors, and still no sign of the snitch. I roamed the edge of the pitch and searched. I stopped, and decided to look from one angle and listen to the commentating.
"And it looks like Davies-" my eyes darted across the pitch, looking for the son of a bitch. "-is going for a score, can he make it past Lupin? But of course, Lupin is an excelle- Wait! What is Gryffindor seeker Potter doing?"
Several gasps came. I had flown over to Sirius, taken his bat and hit the bludger hard at Davies, who was now sporting a bloody nose and a giant swelling bruise near his nose. It was a close shave, almost hitting Remus, but it hit him right in the head. He dropped the Quaffle, and Lucy Spinnet caught it.
"And Gryffindor Seeker Potter takes Gryffindor Beater Black's Bat, and hits a bludger at Ravenclaw Chaser Davies! And if I'm much mistaken, there are no rules against players taking another players place momentarily!" Kev Jordan, the 6th year Gryffindor commentator said.
"Nice one Gorgeous" Sirius said, taking the bat after I hit the bludger.
"That's just a warm up Siri darling" I said, winking before I flew back to the top of the pitch. And right on time, I spotted the snitch, lurking right beneath Remy. I dived for it, the Ravenclaw seeker Percy Brown only just realising I had seen it, and Remus looked alarmed. He shot to the side just in time. My hand closed on a small cold object, and I rocketed upwards, holding the snitch up.
"AND GRYFFINDOR WINS THE QUDDITCH CUP! 200 – 30!" Kev screamed, whooping along with the rest of the Gryffindors.
I flew to the ground and was immediately surrounded by red, the Gryffindor team had flown down, and Sirius, James and Remus pulled me into a bone-breaking hug. We kissed the Quidditch Cup before passing it along.
I saw James and Remus pull Sirius away. I frowned, but left them alone.
While I was leaving them alone, they were whispering in the change rooms.
"HA! Padfoot old boy, you should have seen. Your. FACE!" James said, hi fiving Remus, who was smirking.
"Huh?" Sirius said. "Course I was happy, we won the Championship!"
"Don't avoid it Sirius, we know you like her!" Remus said.
"Like who?" Sirius said, suddenly feeling hot.
"My sister!" James said amusingly frustrated.
"No! I don't like Gorgeous!" Sirius said.
"Denial is the first step to acceptance!" the two said, and walked off, wagging their fingers.
Sirius sat there wondering. Or did I he thought.
