I lay there awake on the 5th bed provided by the house elves. It's been ages, until I looked at the clock, five to twelve. Almost there. I placed a disillusionment charm on me and waited. One more minute. I heard the bed on my right creak. Sirius. Followed by a heavy thud, and a moan. Footsteps past me and to my left.
"psst. James, quick, before Gorgeous or someone wakes. James." I heard Sirius hiss to james.
"mm? Huh? I was having a good dream... lets go." James whispered.
I also climb out of bed and follow them out the room. I looked back and saw my bed, sirius's and James's empty bed. But that was odd. Remus's was too. Only Franks bed looked occupated.
We trudged all the way down to the common room and they sat on either side of the still warm fire place. I sat in front of it.
"James. Is there. You know, any secret that Gorgeous has? I've been thinking, she said desce-something, but I can't find the right word... do you know?" Sirius said this all very fast, and looked at James apprehensively.
"Yeah, but it's a secret, but I suppose I could tell you, just, don't tell her you know. She's a–"
"silencio" I said, pointing my wand at James.
At first James looked like he was choking but later looked perfectly normal.
"umm? James? You... Someone's here." Sirius whispered.
"shit." I said and slowly backed away.
"that was gorgeous, I heard her voice, somewhere... near our dormitory" Sirius said as the door opened then snapped shut. "wait, let me undo the spell..."
James spluttered and coughed a little, and then regained his voice.
"If that was really robin... then I'm dead." James said, shivering slightly. "She's, she's gonna pull a prank on me. If she doesn't, then that's an imposter."
I sat on my bed and undid the disillusionment charm.
Stupid stupid STUPID James! I thought balling up my fists, and then fires erupted from my fists. But I wasn't burning. Why? Why me of all people with this?
James and Sirius walked in and saw me on my bed with fire from my fists.
James backed away, but Sirius moved on.
The flames died out as I saw Sirius, and I smiled.
"so. You were there?" Sirius said, trying to sound casual.
James peeped from behind the door and walked in cautiously.
"NEVER. James Darius Potter, will you even THINK. About telling ANYONE. About THIS." And with ever emphasised word, my fists burst with fire, and extinguished just as suddenly.
Sirius stared at my fists in shock. I blushed.
"goodnight." I said quietly, and without further ado, I flopped on my bed and feint sleeped.
James went to bed with his back facing me. Sirius stayed sitting on his bed and watching me.
"Would you like to go for a night-time stroll?" I said irritably.
He nodded and got out of his bed.
I shivered slightly.
"Here" Sirius said, and handed me his Quidditch jumper.
