The Great Hall was magnificent.
“Great job Lily and Moony!” I said, looking up at the enchanted ceiling. The two grinned.
When we actually stepped in, almost the whole room went quiet. They were staring at us stunned. James and Lily, most surprising of course, at the start, both glancing at each other at different times. Remus and Fiona, holding hands lightly, both blushing furiously. Alice and Frank, right behind, already like a couple. And me and Sirius, just acting like friends, talking about Quidditch and stuff. But there was some kind of misty look in his eyes. Uh-oh. I remember that look. The same look when we kissed.
“Sirius?” I said, when he wasn’t responding. Mind you, he was still staring at me.
“Huh? Oh... it’s just, you look really hot-goregeous-beautiful-pretty.” He said. Sirius and I both gave each other mildly shocked looks. I smiled. And then his face relaxed.
“Haha, thanks.” I said still smiling. “You also look hot, gorgeous, handsome and awesome.” I teased.
He smirked. “I know I do.” And we both chuckled quietly.
“The first dance is up! On the dance floor kiddos!” The Weird Sisters leader said.
“May I have the honour?” Sirius said royally, bowing and extending his hand. I chuckled again when I imagined him in a prince outfit.
“the honours all mine.” I said, taking his hand as he led me to the dance floor. We danced all night, talking about alot of things, like pranks, where we learned how to dance, things like that, until Sirius said, “It’s too hot in here! Let’s get out.” And he dragged me out to the grounds. Little did we know, the whole time, people were watching us closely.
“So, you sure he likes her?” Lily said quietly to James.
“Positive, but he hasn’t told us. Haven’t you seen the way they flirt? Robin’s flirts are meaningless and just for fun, while Sirius’s flirts are more serious and wanting.” James whispered back.
“But I'm sure Robin likes Sirius, to me it seems obvious.” Lily said.
“Really?” Remus, James and Fiona said.
“Almost after every time she sees Sirius she goes into a daydream state.” Lily said as though It were obvious.
“Really?” the three repeated.
Lily sighed. “And they’re so cute together! What a waste of 5 years! They should get together...”
James and Remus burst out into silent fits. “Sirius, and a long time relationship? Nu-uh, that doesn’t work.” Remus said, recovering from his fit. James still shaking in laughter.
“But if he really likes her--” Lily protested.
“Old habits die hard Lily darling!” James said (still shaking slightly), to which Lily didn’t object to his nickname. They fell silent when Sirius and I started talking.
“Gorg—Robin. There’s something I have to tell you.” Sirius said, as they stood by the lake. “Can we dance?”
“Is that what you had to tell me?” I said jokingly, but held up my hands in a dancing position, waiting for him to return the position, which he did promptly.
