uhm. what was i gonna say. right. well, there's like, loooodz of chapters left [s]orz more than 30[/s] and idk if you want this happy ending, or the others, but it'd be easier for this to be the last chapter - or 3rd last, i can squish the last chapters into one, and then add and epilogue --
--read to the end for the rest.
It’s been a month since Regulus’s and I’s first date, and it hurt, seeing Sirius so dejected, so sad and un-Sirius like.
It was Potions first, and I am, as I may have not mentioned, permanent partners with Sirius. As I sat down quietly, on the edge of my seat, twiddling my thumbs shyly, Sirius walked in, slouched and expressionless, and plopped next to me. I took glances at him and saw his eyes were puffy and slightly red.
Soon after, the rest of the Marauders came in, quiet as never, looking at Sirius sympathetically. I will spare you to quiet, un-actiony, un-flirty details and skip to exiting class.
I exit the class quickly, before anyone else, and unfortunately, crashing into another hasty body.
“This feels cliché.” I mumbled, hearing the other say the same. I look up to see a Regulus. So it did happen before. “Uh Regulus. I--”
“I have something to tell you Robin.” Regulus said quickly, standing up and extending a hand, which I took and stood up. I looked down.
“I do too...” I mumbled.
“We can’t have this Relationship!” We said simultaneously. Silence.
“Um... I'm sorry Robin... I think. Sirius... He. I'm sorry, it wasn’t meant to be.” Regulus said. I thought I heard a faint whoop of joy.
“I'm sorry, I just can’t see Sirius so sad like this. I'm sorry, can we just be... best friends?” I said to him, watching for his expression.
“Um... You should date my brother. He... Really needs it.” Regulus whispered quietly to me.
We nodded and shook hands, hugged tightly, and walked past each other. I turned back and walked quickly past Regulus in the direction of the whoop. Only to find, a dancing Sirius, and James and Remus were standing there, looking at him oddly, until they saw me. Their eyes darted from my bewildered face to Sirius’s... rather eccentric dance as I shall call it, and they grinned for the first time since.
“Uhh...” I said, eyes wide to the two as we watched Sirius do his somewhat victory dance, now waving his hands in the air.
“Don’t ask. Even if we do know why.” Remus said, watching Sirius apprehensively.
I stayed silent. What could possibly make Sirius so happy since his mourning in Potions? Suddenly Sirius turned with a large grin on his face and his old sparkle in his eyes, until he saw me. The grin dropped and he stared gaping at me.
“H-how much did you... see?” Sirius said cautiously, apparently embarrassed at his quirky dance moves.
“About half of it...” I mumbled, refraining from laughing my ass off.
“You don’t know why hopefully?” Sirius said.
“No. Tell me why, I don’t like secrets kept against me.” I said huffily. He chuckled and picked me up bridal style.
“Common room correct?” Sirius said, ignoring me, nodding his head in the direction of the Gryffindor common room. James, Remus and I nodded, and they walked.
