He then picked up the phone and before he could respond to the other person on the phone, the voice came from there, "Nishka, I want to meet you. I will text you the place and time. Please trust me for the last time. I will settle it once and for all." The phone was hung after that. It was a male voice from an unknown number.

Kartik was shaken up. He could not understand what actually happened. Is his wife cheating on him?

"No no no no, Nishka can not do this to me. She lov.... Maybe not. What if she is also taking the revenge? But what she will get from this? As far as I know her, she has never been this type of girl. Oh God! Where am I going? I think I am thinking too much now. It would be better if I ask her directly. What if she also does not know about this guy? She might land in some problem then. I will have to follow her."

He then changed to fresh set of clothes and made a call to his secretary.

"Jiya, shift all my appointments for today. Reschedule them for some other day. If urgent, please organise the meeting off site. I will let you know the location and time soon." He was upto something.

Meanwhile, Nishka came out of the bathroom. She then got ready to go down for the breakfast but she did not check the phone. Kartik was wondering if she would be replying to the message or if she would be planning to meet that person.

He then followed Nishka to the dining hall. Rather than having breakfast, he was more focussed on Nishka replying to her messages who was contemporarily focussed on having breakfast.

Raman then asked Nishka about her pain and inquired in how many days she would be walking without support.

"It is almost recovered, Dad. I now can use walking stick. I might not need it after a week." She replied humbly.

"Ohh, that is great. So, this is final. After you recover, you both are going for a vacation. Enough of this stress and work load. No more excuses now. You will have around 2 weeks. Pack your bags and leave. Kartik's work will be managed and Nishka, you have your medical leaves already sanctioned, so utilise them." He sounded firm.

"But Dad.... "

"I just said no more excuses, it is final that you both are going." Raman interrupted Nishka.

"Let it be Dad, you all tried it once and here she is, with a broken leg. You are trying it again, God knows where she will land now." Kartik snapped.

"What are you saying?" Nishka whispered into his ears while he smirked.

Everyone laughed seeing them bickering.
