They both were lying on the bed with no sleep in their eyes though both were extremely tired. Instead of being exhausted physically, they were tired mentally because of all the chaos that happened in their lives. They both were remembering the last twenty four hours which were actually their life changing moments.
Thinking about Kartik's promise of being loyal to her, Nishka thought that Kartik is going through same emotional trauma which she is suffering from. He also loved someone who could not stay in his life. It is pretty normal for him to react like this. This thought made her more firm about rekindling their relationship.
She turned towards him and found him sleeping by her. She looked at him and thanked God for taking her one sided love to it's destiny.
The night passed and the morning came. The couple woke up to each other but Kartik continued to remain rude.
He hopped out of bed and entered into the bathroom. Nishka had to wait. She also left the bed and started searching for the clothes in her suitcase. She picked a heavy saree and the matching jewellery and kept them on the bed. Kartik came out of washroom and saw her making the bed. He told her to not to bother and that the servant would do that all.
She listened to him, and then pointed to the decorations which were actually very private. She then enlarged her eyes trying to make him understand that why servant should not enter the room. He then nodded his head in agreement. Soon after, Nishka took her clothes and went to the bathroom. Kartik came to the bed and found her jewellery lying there.
"How selfish! Could not she take out my clothes as well, is this not the duty of a wife? Does not she know that mom always take my clothes out to wear. Now I can not even call mom to do that else she will taunt me about a wife already being brought to me. What to do next? Let's search the cupboard then." He mumbled to himself scratching his forehead vertically with his index finger.
Meanwhile, Nishka came out after freshening up.
Kartik could not stop staring her in wet hair. She was looking totally different in saree. This was her new look. She was a wife, a daughter in law now, not the merry go girl who wandered around irresponsibly.
