fuyumi, natsuo, and i wandered through the bustling streets, our arms laden with shopping bags as we chatted amicably. the sun bathed everything in a warm glow, making the day feel lighter as we caught up on each other's lives.

"i saw mom yesterday," fuyumi said, her voice soft yet hopeful as she glanced at me. "she's doing better. she was so happy when we talked about shoto."

"that's really good to hear," i replied, my heart swelling with genuine relief. "shoto must be over the moon."

"yeah," natsuo added, his expression relaxing. "he's been visiting her regularly for a while now. it's been good for both of them."

a comfortable silence followed, filled only by the sounds of the bustling street and the occasional laughter of passing pedestrians. the bond we shared, though forged in pain, had grown stronger over time, and i couldn't help but feel grateful for moments like these.

as we continued our errands, natsuo turned to me with a mischievous grin, breaking the tranquil moment. "by the way, i've been meaning to tell you something... about why i haven't joined the both of you for dinner or anything else for some time now."

"oh?" i asked, my curiosity piqued as i glanced over at him. "what's up?"

natsuo's grin widened as he admitted, "i'm actually dating someone. she's really sweet. i hope you can meet her soon. you're like a sister to me after all, so it's important she meets you."

i blinked in surprise, my heart warming at his words. "natsuo, that's wonderful! i'm so happy for you. i can't wait to meet her."

i hadn't expected this revelation. part of me had worried that natsuo was distancing himself from us because he didn't want anything to do with enji, but knowing that he'd found someone who made him happy put my mind at ease.

we continued our errands, sharing stories and laughter, and the wholesome time together made me look forward to the future—a future where we could all be happy, despite the past.

returning to the todoroki household after a long day of running errands, i was greeted by a familiar face. shoto stood by the door, his expression as neutral as ever, though i could sense the warmth in his gaze. he was accompanied by two of his classmates, who i had heard about from enji, as they were volunteering at his agency: katsuki bakugo and izuku midoriya.

"hey," shoto said with a small smile, his voice a bit softer than usual. "we have some visitors. my friends: midoriya and bakugo."

"hi, shoto," i smiled back, feeling the comfort of familiarity. "it's good to see you, and hello to you two!"

bakugo, the blonde with a fiery demeanor, crossed his arms and gave a curt nod. "todoroki's been talking about you. says you're pretty important around here."
