Lowen

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

How did she notice my swollen cheek. I can't tell her what's really going on, she will cause only more problems, problems I don't want to face right now. If this somehow comes out, and Carlos hear about this, it's over for me, he'll fucking kill me, that's why I'm waiting for my dad to come back before I expose this whole thing.

It isn't that he's putting his hands on me everyday, it was just once, but who knows when the next time will be.

I feel awful for just running out of her office and kinda stupid. Now she knows something is up and I can't get a good excuse for that, unless it's a really good excuse.

I groan and smashed my head into my pillow, very frustrated with myself. Maybe I should skip school today, but then she'll know I'm avoiding her and that there's really something wrong.

I sigh and took a quick shower before getting dressed. I'm riding with Eleanor today since Henry had a dentist appointment today so he can't pick me up today.

I leaned against Eleanor's car as I waited for her, this morning is a little bit chilly so I'm glad I got my hoodie on.

"Let's go." I heard my sister order and I rolled my eyes, such a bitch.

I climbed into the passenger seat and buckled myself in.

The whole car ride to school was silent, but that's always like that.

Once she parked the car, I immediately climbed out and went straight to my locker. My cheek looks better this morning, but my wrist is still a little sore and stiff but nothing I can't handle.

Carlos didn't talk to me again after the whole thing, and I'm glad, maybe I should take boxing lessons to protect myself against him, that's actually not a bad idea.

"Lowen, a word." I froze by hearing her stern voice. I turn around slowly and look up at Ms. González that looks intensely down at me.

"Now." She gritted and walked ahead of me. I groan and shut my locker, quietly walking behind her all the way to her classroom.

Once she shut the door she gave me a stern look. "Lowen, I know you're scared but I must know who did that to you." She said, her voice now soft and gentle.

I know I'm a very bad liar but I'm going to try to lie to her.

"I take boxing lessons, and I got hit, nothing serious." I signed to her with the most serious face.

She stare at me, analysing my face as the silence took over us. I suddenly became nervous under her stare but I keep my face serious.

She nods with a sigh. "Sorry for thinking the worst, Lowen, thank you for being honest." Now I feel bad for lying to her, her voice is so sincere.

I mentally slap myself for lying to the goddess in front of me. I gave her a smile. "Since the bell rings in two minutes, you may go and take your seat." She motioned for me and I nod and did as she told me to.

I didn't think she would believe that lie, but I can't tell her the truth, I can't even imagine what would've happened if she knows the full truth of what really happened.

But now I have to sign up for those boxing lessons, I'm not going to allow that Carlos can do what he wants anymore.

I know it's going to take some time for me to defend myself but I'll get there.

I sigh and packed my books out and waited for the lesson to begin.

I felt my phone vibrate in my jean pocket and I fished it out and saw Henry texted me.

Ry ~ There's a party this Friday at Ben's, we going?

~ Sure.
