Chapter Eight
...

Gojo Satoru walked tall, being the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in the world, which helped make him seem even taller next to the shorter Jumpei. After the fight with Mahito Gojo had trained Junpei taught him how to use his Shikigami much like he had with Megumi Fushiguro. Jumpei wasn't born a Jujutsu Sorcerer but made into one by Mahito during the fight that Gojo had dissapointably missed.

"Gojo Sensei, why did you put Yuji in a box again?" Jumpei asked as he pushed the heavy box with Yuji inside. He and Yuji had gotten closer due to their shared experiences, and while he wasn't surprised, Yuji would agree to being put inside of the box he didn't understand the purpose.

"It's a surprise!" Gojo said with an excited smile that made Jumpei sigh. Despite being around Gojo for a few days now, he still wasn't used to such a laid-back and carefree adult. Considering how Nanami spoke about him Jumpei had imagined someone fully dedicated to Jujutsu

At the end of the pathway, Jumpei could see a group of Jujutsu High schoolers talking amongst themselves. Gojo took the initiative to hand out pink charms to what Junpei assumed were the Kyoto students. Gojo had given him the basics of what was going on, but being Gojo, he left out details.

Today was the start of a special event where Jujutsu High's Tokyo and Kyoto branches joined together to challenge each other to a friendly game. The winner of which would be where the location of the next event would be. Last year a first year named Yuta Okkotsu had gained victory over the Kyoto students. Gojo was confident in his students, but he wanted to test Jumpei's abilities in an active combat situation.

A girl that Jumpei recognized from Yuji's stories as Nobara stepped forward and pointed at him. "Who's the kid?" She asked accusedly. Her hair, while shorter, still seemed to flutter in the wind like a delicate butterfly going from flower to flower in the summer breeze.

Gojo smiled and patted Jumpei on the head. "This is your first gift, a new teammate!" Gojo's enthusiasm didn't spread to Nobara who shook her head.

"He looks short for a third year." She bluntly remarked without a seeming care for Jumpei's feelings.

"He's not a third year, at least not one I know." A panda said visibly, shocking Jumpei, who hadn't expected the panda to talk.

Gojo smiled as he outstretched his hands. "That's because he's a first year!" The students couldn't see his eyes that were hidden beneath his blindfold however they assumed they were open wide. It had often been debated whether or not Gojo was a drug user but no one would ask him directly besides that, one time Yuji almost slipped up.

"How long exactly have you been a Jujutsu Sorcerer?" Megumi asked. Jumpei recognized him from Yuji's stories as well, his deep and somber voice exactly as Yuji described.

"About a week or so." Jumpei admitted much to the dismay of the Tokyo students and the amusement of the Kyoto students. The Kyoto students saw Junpei as nothing but a bug to step on.

"Gojo, is this your replacement for Sukuna's Vessel?" An older man's voice called out to Gojo, while he sounded wise, he also had an air of arrogance. "A poor replacement if you ask me." The man added as if he were pouring salt atop a casserole. The man had no hair on his head, but he had a magnificent pair of eyebrows.

Gojo didn't seem shocked or upset by the remark as he simply tapped the box. "Principal Gakuganji, the replacement for Sukuna's Vessel is in this box just don't drop dead with shock when I open it Gramps" Gojo teased much to Principal Gakuganji's frustration. The nickname gramps seemed to cause a vein to pulse upon his bald head.

"What is in the box, Satoru Gojo." Principal Gakuganji demanded his face red with anger. The long brown that made up his face seemed to twirl with a renewed anxiety that sought to overtake him.

Gojo didn't seem to pay him anymind as he pushed the box towards Megumi and Nobara. As soon as it got close to the pair it opened up as Yuji jumped out and stuck a pose.

"It's your old pal, Yujiiiiii!" Gojo said much to the shock of everyone except Junpei and Gojo himself. Nobara and Megumi both shared a mortified expression, their faces a contrast to Yuji's joyful facial features. Despite wanting their friend to come back, it had been months since he had been presumed dead.  The realization was just too sudden, and neither understood why Gojo had fashioned this surprise.

"Satoru Gojo, what is the meaning of bringing the Vessel of Ryomen Sukuna here?" Principal Gakuganji demanded his voice turning shrill due to the depths of his anger.

Gojo smiled as he stepped forward placing himself between Yuji Itadori and the other students and Principal Gakuganji. His gesture was a direct challenge towards the Kyoto Elder and one that Gakuganji couldn't answer directly. Gojo more than anyone understood that he was the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer and that no one in the world could hold a candle to his mastery and power over Jujutsu Sorcerery.

"Don't let your old man thickheadness sour the moment, how about we let the kidos gets acquainted and I'll listen to you complain over your fear of Ryomen Sukuna." Gojo said, making sure to humiliate the elder in front of both his school and the students of the Tokyo branch as well. Gakuganji's reaction filled Gojo with a surge of joy, making the old man panic. It was one of the few ways he could stick it to the elders of Jujutsu Sorcerer society.

"We will talk about your behavior, do not think just because your Satoru Gojo you are immune to the rules." Gakuganji snarled his words filled with heavy and venomous anger and disdain directed towards Satoru Gojo.

"We wouldn't want to bore the students with our bickering now, would we?" Gojo asked mockingly, his face coated in the typical Gojo arrogance.

Gakuganji didn't dignify Gojo's comment with a response as he turned away from the white-haired Jujutsu Sorcerer. He would deal with Sukuna's vessel one way or another, and there was nothing Satoru Gojo could but delay the execution of Yuji Itadori.

Junpei and Yuji looked at Gojo, but the teacher just smiled with a silly wave that Gojo was often accustomed to doing. He then followed Gakuganji away, leaving the students to mingle amongst themselves as the games were soon to begin.
