"THE MINIS ARE BACK."Amelie Sinclair smiled politely and clapped along with everyone else. She may not've been there the first time the minis were, but she was here now and her and Kenzie were ready.
"We have two new mini members," Abby Miller smiled at Lilliana 'Lilly' Ketchman. "Want to introduce yourself?"
"Hi, my name is Lilly and I'm seven years old."
"And mom?"
"Hi, I'm Stacey and I don't want to say how old I am."
Amelie joined everyone in the light laughter, looking up to Kenzie for a quick moment.
"And what do you do for a living?"
"I'm a psychologist so this should be interesting."
Abby then turned to Amelie. "And you, honey?"
"Hello, I'm Amelie and I'm eight."
"And her mom, Kenzie. I'm a singer," Kenzie added, squeezing her daughter's shoulders.
"I want you to be on your best behaviour this week," Abby told the girls. "Nobody wants to see a child crying. Nobody wants to see a brat. Nobody wants to see any of that."
Amelie nodded. "I want to make you proud."
Abby smiled at the little girl. "And I'm sure you will."
Amelie's smile grew as she nodded happily. Lilly gave her a quick fist bump.
The pyramid began and Amelie zoned out until she heard her name.
"And finally our new mini members, Amelie and Lilly. Lilly, I've seen you dance and you're flexible, I'm excited to work with it. Amelie, your dancing reminds me of Maddie and Mackenzie. Hopefully it will stay that way."
The girl's eyes were wide - she just got compared to Maddie Ziegler. Kenzie smiled happily for her daughter, giving her a quick squeeze on the shoulders.
"Ladies, we are attending Sheer Talent in Dublin, California. The mini group dance is called Cali Cuties. You've seen Miss America. You'll all be competing to get the title of Miss Cali. Who will get the crown?"
