"Hello, Sam," Kenzie smiled as she answered the phone. Her and Amelie were at the World Dance Pageant.

"Sam!?" Amelie yelled from where she was getting ready. She sprinted over and waved. "Hi!"

"Hey, Ams!" He grinned. "You look great!"

She smiled. "Thank you! I'm getting ready for first round, I get to compete my North solo today."

Sam nodded. "Yeah? I'm sure you'll do great, just have fun."

The child smiled and nodded happily. "Okay."

She competed her North solo in the category and it was clear the judges were impressed. They gave her an almost perfect score.

After solos were the audition classes. They were closed, meaning Kenzie couldn't go in and cheer her daughter on.

Amelie entered the ballet class, which was mandatory. She was doing all of them except hip-hop due to past injuries that stopped her from dancing. She stretched in the room, warming up with all the other girls hoping for the title of Petite Miss World Dance.

The teacher, Mr Alexander, introduced himself to the class of hopefuls. He was the ballet teacher.

Amelie gave herself a spot in the front corner. Since she was on Dance Moms, she was able to quickly learn the choreography and execute it incredibly well. Mr Alexander definitely noticed as he kept looking over to her and her determined face.

"Number sixty-five, you're doing incredible!"

Amelie smiled. It was nice being recognised.

"Right, we will go over a few times before the actual audition. Girls age six, come to the front - you're up!"

When Amelie was called up for the eight years old, she was able to dance perfectly.

Mr Alexander noticed her from the start. The way her smile never left her face, her graceful movements. It was clear she was a well-trained natural. She kept calm and didn't speed up and rush unlike the others. She was set apart from the others for that.

Next was jazz, another Amelie was excited for. Every dancer had two solos - their main and one for if they reached the final. And for the first time, Abby had given young Amelie a jazz solo for her final. It was to the music of 'Shake It Off'.

She entered the jazz room and changed from ballet flats to jazz shoes, grinning. This was going to be so much fun.

The jazz combo was taught to the music of 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
