The group waited in the room for announcements. Abby had retreated into her office due to legal issues, but the minis were oblivious to the issue and were playing around. Amelie and Lilly were playing a game of tag with Ellie.

Amelie had missed the last week due to sickness and was happy to be back.

"At this point all we do is worry about what our kids' future holds at the ALDC," Jill shook her head, Kenzie nodding in agreement.

"You know, I don't want to know her personal issues and what she's up to, but I want to know what it means for us and the girls. Are you going to be here or not?" Holly explained, gesturing to where Nia was collecting the minis to sit them down in case Abby came out.

"Do you have a backup plan?" Kira asked Gianna, who nodded and clapped to get everyone's attention.

"Okay, I'll start with the groups considering the circumstances. We only have today and tomorrow because we have to drive an extra day to get to the competition. For the minis, it's a jazz group called Gossip Girls. It's really sassy and really cute. And the elites have a mature piece. It's called...I believe it's called The Picnic and so you guys are sitting on a white and red checked flag and it starts out regular and eventually takes over the entire stage. I've also been told that Amelie will be joining the elites to make it easier."

"Wow, that's elaborate," Holly chuckled. Such a big, light prop...and a mini?

Amelie bit her lip and looked back at her mom. Kenzie's eyebrows furrowed lightly.

"I know Brynn's doing a solo titled Left At the Alter, Kendall is doing jazz Curiosity and Lilly acro Step by Step. I'll start with the elites first."

Amelie stood awkwardly on the outer edge of the line of elites, worried about the fact she was dancing with them. Kalani smiled and gestured her over, giving her a side hug.

"Let's begin!"

Quickly, the mat proved itself to be a nuisance. Kendall and Nia kept tripping over it, and Amelie couldn't pull off her tricks properly because it got in her way. The mat was eating them alive toward the end, wrapping Amelie up inside it.

After about an hour, it was almost ready. Not stage-ready, in fact Amelie thought it was incredibly messy. There wasn't a moment the mat cooperated but the girls were trying their best. They needed to rehearse further.

Wednesday arrived and Amelie tagged along with Kalani and Kira as the minis were learning their group dance. Amelie's blonde hair was down, and she was wearing a navy polka-dot dress.
