Muromachi Kaito was mentioned in Chapter 2, he is known for being a member of the mysterious Muromachi Clan, a group of unknown people who hail from Yashiori Island and have complete immunity to the Tatarigami. Some believe that they are monsters imitating the appearance of humans due to their unnatural strength. Muromachi Kaito is known as the most powerful and undefeated samurai with a record of 70 sword duels and fifty kills during the duels.

Muromachi Kaito has also fought youkai that challenged him to a duel, who consist of Reizenbou, Kitsune Matsume, Kamai Kenji. Defeating all of them with next to no effort because of his inhuman movements that even the shogun's kagemusha was surprised of.

Personality: Despite the living the life of a samurai being bathed in blood, Kaito is a calm person who always never changed expressions thus making him unpredictable and emotionless to people. However, Wando who stayed close to him during Kaito's lifetime viewed him as a sorrow person who is no different than any other person as he also knows when to cry and express himself.

Relationships:

Maho Wando - Muromachi Kaito was first shocked when Wando was the first to make a move to talk to him, as people Inazuma were never able to get close to him due to them being fearful of the kind of person he was. The two became true friends that Kaito even attempted to teach Wando on how to use the Muromachi Art and telling him his story as a former samurai, and even giving his sword to Wando before passing away. As of now Muromachi Kaito's sword, the Hamutara is protected over a layer of glass inside Wando's home along with a statue of the Shogun besides it.

Kitsune Matsume - The two could never get along as the Muromachi Clan slaughtered a member of the Tomiko Clan who Matsume valued as the only one that loved her, and so Kitsune Matsume never forgave the Muromachi(s) and even attempted to kill Kaito right in front of Wando who was watching. Before Matsume left Inazuma, Kaito said  "I wish we could have met under better circumstances".

Raiden Makoto - Muromachi Kaito served as a general directly under her command, however it seemed that Kaito wasn't close to her as an ally but rather was a cog that was moving in a strict order.

Trivia

Muromachi Kaito is inspired by Miyamoto Musashi who was a samurai that lived in the Edo (Tokugawa) period.

The two lines under his eyes are inspired from Itachi Uchiha and are a result of constant stress throughout his life.

The average height for a male in the Muromachi Clan is 177cms(5'10ft) meaning he was slightly under average height, however at 23 years old he had a sudden growth spurt going from 174 to 186 making him the tallest member of the Muromachi Clan.

His favorite food is Tuna Sashimi, during his free time he goes fishing to catch tuna, due to his unnatural strength he can easily reel in one with ease.

His sword art, the Muromachi Art has 16 techniques, however he amplified his techniques making them much more lethal and dangerous compared to Muromachi Mizu who is just average at using the sword art.
