Chapter 4 - Late night check up
899 Years before present time, Yashiori Island
Inside Maho Wando's house, Mari was laying on his blanket sleeping in peace, Mari hears footsteps coming from outside. The door opens with Wando holding a bag of mora on his hand.
Maho Wando: Mari I'm back!
Mari: mm!
Mari looks at the bag of mora and gets confused.
Mari: m?
Maho Wando: Oh, this? I'm earning mora everyday by helping Miss Kazumi with running her food stand in the youkai realm! Once I get enough mora I'll buy a boat so I can sail and find the island where the ancestors of youkai discovered!
Mari: hmmmn.. mk..
Maho Wando: Mari are you hungry?
Mari: mn mn..
Maho Wando: Alright, Miss Kazumi gave me some of the leftover ingredients that weren't used today, I'll make us a tasty dish! Let's see..
Wando sees the leftover ingredients and finds Unagi (Eel) meat along with sugar that used to make the bulle cider.
Maho Wando: I have an idea! Grilled Unagi Fillet!
Mari: hmn..?
Wando goes outside his house and gets a grill pan and lights a fire, Mari follows him outside and looks at Wando grilling the Eel meat.
Maho Wando: That smells pretty good!
Mari: mmm~
Wando waits six minutes, the Eel meat was fully grilled and ready to heat, Wando gets two plates and places the Unagi Fillet onto them, he gives Mari the first plate and eats the second plate.
Mari: mn~ (This is good~)
Maho Wando: *Crunch* Mm~ I didn't knew I could cook this well!
Wando and Mari eat the Grilled Unagi Fillet in the middle of the night, during that time somebody was spying on them in the far distance.
Kitsune Saiguu was looking at Maho Wando and Mari, she senses small traces of abysal energy through his body and decides to confront him.
Mari: mne!
Maho Wando: Huh? What is it?
Wando looks at the direction where Mari was facing, he sees Kitsune Saiguu walking towards his house.
Maho Wando: Uh? What is Miss Saiguu doing here? Hello..?
Kitsune Saiguu: Hello Maho Wando, it seems that you are having a meal in the middle of the night..
Maho Wando: Yup! It tastes good to, would you like some?
Kitsune Saiguu's Mind: (I can't look suspicious in front of him.. I suppose I'll have to play my act..)
Kitsune Saiguu: I would like to, It looks great aswell!
Maho Wando: Here you go! *Lends a dish of Grilled Unagi Fillet*
Kitsune Saiguu eats the Grilled Unagi and enjoys the sweet and salty taste.
Kitsune Saiguu: This is a spectacular dish, where did you learn how to cook this?
Maho Wando: Well.. Miss Kazumi from the youkai realm taught me how to cook other kinds of food, and I managed to learn a lot of them!
