Look at me! Look at what you did to me!

I was reborn from my pain. My leg had partially healed, but it mended itself wrong. A crooked visage of its original self. Molded by hate, only fixed by my captor to serve a darker purpose. Nothing about me was pure, despite the deceiving white of my suit. Or the clear blue of my eyes, tightly lined in black. I was cold, simply a weapon of destruction.
With Hawkmoth infesting my mind, I was undecided of the target of my destruction. Just that I wanted others to feel pain as I had. I would create any reality to make that possible.
My fingers tightened around his ring in my pain, my cold expression betraying little emotion. The piece of metal was cold against my palm, a reminder of what I'd lost. Reminding me who I was doing this for.
Adrien, who never deserved to die. He had been abandoned by those close to him. His own father, using him as a pawn to bring back his wife. Ladybug, leaving him despite knowing he was hurt and in danger of Strikeback.
Hawkmoth had spoken of bringing back his wife. He could bring back Adrien.
"Miraculous Ladybug!"
The sound shook me from my thoughts and I turned slowly to face Ladybug as she purified the dark butterfly fluttering from the wreckage of a child's teddy bear with her command. Red energy spilled from her lucky charm, washing over the smoldering battlefield in an attempt to cleanse the wreckage. Little changed, much to her confusion.
It couldn't purify my sins. Or the ones I was yet to commit.
The blue-haired superheroine turned to me slowly, cocking her head to the side as she noticed the red staining my fingers. Innocent blood dripping to the impure streets of the sin filled city.
"Rena?" She whispered, pressing her fingers to her lips.
Her earrings beeped, a spot fading away after she had exhausted her powers. Time was running out before she was powerless to my whims.
Hawkmoth spoke in my head, his voice invading every crevice of my mind. "She abandoned you. You weren't important enough to keep her attention, and neither was her precious Chat. She's the reason Adrien is dead. You know what you have to do. Take her miraculous."
I shook my head at her in disappointment, taking a step forward. My voice was hoarse from screaming over his corpse. "I'm not her. I'm Rena Blanc."
"Not you too." Her voice cracked as she took a step backwards. "Let's talk this out."
"There's nothing to talk about." My eyes hardened, barren of tears left to cry. "He's dead."
"Adrien? Adrien is dead?" She ran her hands through her blue hair, twisting the strands between her fingers in anguish. Her movements undid the ribbons holding her hair back from her face, making her look disheveled. "He looked fine when I left, I didn't—"
"Think? No, you never think. You left us with a sentimonster without your powers of recreation," I spat, my voice thick with spite. "I couldn't save him because of you."
Beep.
Her time was running out.
Hawkmoth spoke up again impatiently, sending threats that rattled deep in my skull. I threaded my fingers into the soft blue strands of my hair in a poor attempt to stop the grating sound of his voice, the color looking almost white against my skin.
"Shut up!" I screamed, clawing at my skin. "I've gotten farther than any of your other puppets. I'm a better chance than any of them." I rolled over the ring in my fingers, examining it almost distractedly as I spoke to him. "Trust me."
