Tiana
Domonic and I rode in silence as he drove me to work. It's been three days since Domonic had reached out to his mother and he'd been distant ever since. I knew he was going through a lot and I was trying to be understanding, but the distance was killing me. I wasn't used to him being so quiet.
"You okay?" I questioned, looking over at him.
"I'm good." He mumbled.
"You don't seem good." He sighed before speaking.
"Well I am."
I sighed. "Okay Domonic." I pulled out my phone, responding to one of Lexi's text messages.
He rubbed his hand down his face before speaking. "I'm not trying to be mean T, I just don't want to have to deal with this shit with my moms. I want to forget it ever happened."
"I understand, but I don't think that's possible. It's going to keep coming up until you deal with it. It's your choice whether you want to deal with it now or later but I think you should deal with it now." Him bottling up his feelings wouldn't do anything but cause a disaster.
"You're right, but I just can't desl with that shit right now."
"Well whenever you decide to deal with it I'll be there."
"I know." He picked my hand up, placing kisses on the back of it.
We arrived at the hospital a few minutes later. "See you later, have a good day." He spoke, causing me to smile.
"Thank you, you too." I leaned over, kissing his cheek and getting out of the car.
"Hey." Miyah, one of the nurses I worked with spoke as I approached the bench she was sitting at.
"Hey girl," I spoke. She got up, slinging her bag on her shoulder.
"I see your boo dropped you off." She smirked. I rolled my eyes.
"Stop calling him that."
"Nope, that is your boo." Instead of arguing with her I changed the subject. "Are you and some of your friends still going out tonight?" I questioned.
"Yeah, have you decided if you're coming or not?"
"Yeah, I'm coming."
"Yayyy, some of us are bringing our boyfriends so you can bring Domonic if you want." She smirked.
"Oh my gosh." I rolled my eyes. "I'll see if he wants to come."
"Alrighty." She sung.
My shift came and left quickly, before I knew it I was walking out to Domonic's car. I opened his car door, being greeted by rap music. He turned down the music as I slid in the car.
"Hey." I spoke, closing the car door.
"Wassup." He put the car in drive and pulled off.
"How was work?" Domonic questioned.
"Not too bad. How was your day?"
"It was alright, I didn't have that many appointments, so I chilled most of the day."
"That's good. Are you doing anything tonight?" I questioned.
"Nah, why?"
"I was invited out by my coworker, and I wanted to know if you wanted to go. It's going to be other guys there."
"I don't mind going. I haven't been out in a while." He confessed.
"That's not surprising." I chuckled.
