Demonic

I followed behind my realtor as we walked around a potential building for my new tattoo shop. I was planning on having the grand opening for my birthday which was a little over six months away.

"How are you feeling about it so far?" She questioned in her think Hispanic accent.

"It's nice." Whoever had owned the building prior had kept it up good.

"Good, I can never tell if you're pleased or not. You tend to have a serious face at all times." I chuckled.

When the tour of the building came to a close Tamia, my realtor turned to me. "So what did you think?"

"I think it's nice. I'm not sure which building I would want to put an offer in for though."

"That's fine, would you like to look at more buildings?"

"Nah." I shook my head, we'd looked at five buildings today. "I'll pick from the buildings we viewed today."

"Sounds good to me, make sure you get back to me as soon as possible so I can put an offer in."

"I will."

"Well alright, I hope to hear from you soon." She smiled. I pushed the door open for us. I sucked in a deep breath as we were met with the cool wind from outside. It was currently November so it was chilly. I pulled my hood over my head and headed to my car.

Once settled in the car, I pulled off heading towards the shop. I'd called a meeting to update everyone on the current status of the new shop. I also wanted to talk about what we were doing for the upcoming holidays. Every year we did something to celebrate the holidays and give back.

I greeted everyone as I stepped inside, taking a seat on one of the couches. Once all of the greetings were out of the way, I got straight to business. "Alright everybody, I called this meeting so we could talk about the new location and the upcoming holidays. I went to look at some buildings today and I'm going to decide which one I think is the best fit in the next couple of days so I can put an offer in. The plan is to have the grand opening by my birthday. Everyone will be moving to the new location except for Shayla. She'll be here managing the second location which will be here. I know I just said a mouth full, is there any questions?" No one said anything so I continued to talk. "On to the next order of business. This year I plan to be giving out plates like we did last year for Thanksgiving. I'll text everyone the details on that later tonight. Next week we'll be having Friendsgiving after work. Y'all can bring your families and a friend if y'all want. I'll also be texting y'all the details on that. Thats all I have to say right now. After Thanksgiving I'll discuss our plans for Christmas."

"You called a whole meeting just to tell us that? You could have texted that." Everyone laughed at Shayla.

"Every time I send a text somebody say they didn't get it so I needed to say it to y'all faces." I stood up. "Meeting adjured."

After the meeting, I went into my office to prepare for my one and only client for the day. Today was Monday and on Mondays I always had a light day. The tattoo I was doing was something small. It was a simple rose tattoo. The young woman was eighteen and it was her first tattoo so she just wanted something small.

Tiana

"Lexi I miss you so much." I pouted, we hadn't seen each other in months.

"I miss you too, I was hoping to come visit for the holidays but you know how my job is."

"I know." I sighed. Lexi was an executive assistant at a large corporate office and her boss acted as if he couldn't operate without her.

"Well maybe I could come back and visit if you can't come here."
