Asteria's POV

I couldn't count the many ways our mission went wrong.

The first thing that should've tipped me off was the fact that tracking Morgana seemed too easy. With her abilities, she must've known I was tracking her. Still, I chalked it up to maybe finally getting lucky. But I was wrong.

I also blamed it on the fact that I wasn't focused on the mission, when my relationship with Dick weighed heavily at the back of my mind. Jesus, this is what I was worried about. Distractions. But you can do this, Asteria. Focus. I could still feel him staring at me as I sat in front of the newly up and running Bio Ship, with Batman sitting seriously beside me. Did Dick and I even have a relationship? We never really talked about it.

"Miss Martian, link us up," Aqualad commanded, and I instantly focused on masking my thoughts. I felt the mental onslaught as the link kicked in, hearing the thoughts of my team mates buzzing. I was on Alpha squad, along with Batman, Superman, Kid Flash, Artemis, Red Hood and Nightwing.

We're approaching the plane, Miss Martian informed us.

Stay in stealth mode, Batman commanded. We don't know what tech the League has on the ship. They may be able to detect us if we use our comms.

I clutched the arms of my chair in anticipation. I could see the jet plane up ahead, and having Damian so close was making my heart pound. I longed to shoot out of the chair and get on the ship. Damian was like a little brother to me, and I hated having to wait. Like I said, I'm impatient.

I felt another presence on the link, the presence as strong as the person it belonged to. I'm directly below the ship, and they haven't noticed me, Superman's voice came on. And we're directly above the Pacific now. Endless water for miles on out, civilian casualties will be zero.

Wally snorted out loud, making all of us turn to him. He all gave us a sheepish smile. Sorry, he mentally apologized. I was just thinking that there would be civilian casualties, but they're on the ship.

Superman, you're clear to engage. Miss Martian, inform Aquaman to be ready, Batman gave the silent command. As usual, he was undisturbed by Wally's outburst. Always down to business.

Copy that. Engaging now, Superman responded.

I felt Miss Martian break away from our link to establish a different one with Aquaman, but it wasn't long before she was back on line. Beta Squad is ready and waiting.

Batman nodded solemnly, and we all heard in Superman's mind when the plane went down. Since he was the Man of Steel, it wasn't really hard to figure out how he could bring down a jet plane single- handedly. As we approached in stealth mode, we saw him shoot a hand through the fast moving propellers and yank it out of the plane. It take long for it to lose altitude.

Luckily, Aquaman was ready and waiting. Rising from the sea, he and Green Lantern led Beta Squad. While Green Lantern caught the ship, Aquaman used his powers to surround it with tall walls of water, making sure escape was impossible. Unless, of course, the people on the ship wanted to drown. Superboy was also there, and he tore the door of the ship open. They all filed inside, along with Impulse, Blue Beetle and Beast Boy.
