(—in which Hanni and
Minji rode the Ferris Wheel)

MINJI

I should tell her today....

I was holding Hanni's hand tightly while walking towards the ferris wheel when Hanni suddenly stopped me.

"Hanni?"

"Minji, how about we try other rides first?" Hanni asked suggesting that we shouldn't go to the ferris wheel. I furrowed my eyebrows but t hem smile later on, following what she said.

Well, I really need to take her to the ferris wheel because that's where I'll be confessing my love.

While strolling with her I realized we were holding hands earlier. I smiled under my breath and didn't bother her nor ask her about it.

Was I rushing things with the ferris wheel?

The sudden thought entered my mind while observing her nervous state.

"Where do you want to go first Hanni?" I asked when she cheered and pointed to the carousel ride.

Glancing at it, my eyes were immediately blinded by its colorful light. The brightness of it suddenly made my heart warm. The ambiance of the place suddenly brought me back to where I was still a child. How I wish I could go back to those memories, to where it was just me and my siblings together.

I looked at the girl who was beside me, worriedly staring at me. Hanni, I think I want to rush things because I can't wait to tell you how I feel

Whenever I'm with you, everything just seems like a dream.

A happy one.

"So? How about we ride that first?" Hanni excitedly cheered and dragged me near the place. We both pay for the ticket since she wanted to split it which I don't hate.

I'm just glad I'm with her today.

"Okay, how about you ride that pink unicorn over there?" Hanni said while letting go of my already cold hands. Pink unicorn? Does that mean she won't be with me?

"Aren't you going too?" I was confused by what she said.

"I will but I'll be taking pictures of you first. So go. C'mon Minji it's about to start!" Hanni carefully pushed me towards where she wants me to be.

I was of course hesitant. I want us to be together not her being my photographer. I then turned around and grabbed Hanni's hand which led her eyes to widen.

"Minji?"

"Well, I want us to be here together. Why don't you take pictures while also riding the carousel?" I smiled, hoping I'll persuade her.

"But-" Before she could even retort, I chuckled and took her with me.

"You're not my photographer Hanni okay? So join me because this is going to be fun!" I laughed and watched as she slowly gave up on being on the sideline.

We both chuckled when the ride started spinning. It was slow-paced, enough for me to see Hanni's bright smiles. Just like the ride, my time was also slowing down. Everything was in slow motion. Every second made my heart thump and although the place was full of laughter I couldn't hear anything but my own heartbeat.
